RUNA Amazon Guayusa Tea Box, Ginger Citrus, 16 Tea Bags, 1.13 Ounce

This tea helped me get through an intense Winter session involving a 5 week long math course. I definitely felt a very nice rush of caffeine on its peak. Sometimes I'd brew two bags and take that in my thermos and slowly drink it throughout the whole day to keep me afloat. It's true that you don't have a crash like you would drinking tons of coffee. Unless you like the coffee jitters, then the energy this tea actually does deliver isnt for you. It is an awesome drink to have first thing in the morning (try to brew it to keep in a thermos to take with you. Definitely good to drink one serving in portions throughout the day.) If you're the type to be part of lots of physical events/ races, then definitely brew yourself a serving (maybe two bags in one) and drink the whole thing before you start. It keeps your mind so focused that it makes it easy to control your breathing and focus on the race. I wish this tea was more abundant, but I guess that's what makes it special!

I drink runa classic loose leaf all day everyday. i saw this and obviously decided to try since i love ginger, ginger beer, pickled ginger, and ginger mints. this tea has a more than moderate ginger flavor even when brewed to specs. i decided to brew it under less time and still very strong flavor almost bitter. once i brewed it then poured it into a cup full of ice to dilute it it mellowed out. Just keep in mind if ur not a strong ginger lover you wont enjoy this. i would certainly recommend the classic loose leaf tho!!!

I really, really like this version of the Runa teas. The hint of orange for a hot tea is spot on and the clean energy I get from drinking this is so delightful.For cold brewed teas, though, I adore the Hibiscus tea version, in loose form.The whole "clean energy" selling pitch is actually very true. With a Chronic Fatigue issue, it's important that I don't drink those hyper caffeinated energy drinks. The crash is way more costly for those with CFS. If you have it or know someone who does, you know what I mean. And when you find something that works without those consequences, you'll become a devotee as I have.

Coffee is good, espresso is better, it boosts my brain giving me the right energy but... too many counter effect. Too easy to get addicted and too short time effect.Then I found Runa. It does have the same caffeine effect but no counter effect. and way more prolonged energy. I don't like tea but I like runa.Anyway once in a while an espresso is good :)

This tea is wonderful!! I didn't taste much citrus, but there is a spicy aspect that I assume is the ginger. My package came super fast- faster than the one shipped by Amazon! I think I got it in about 2 days. Maybe 3. Plus this one wasn't included in the free shipping deal, but I actually paid $2 LESS for this one. So I am SUPER pleased with this tea!The tea gives clean energy. No jitters, no "burst", but clean steady all day energy. You feel lively!I will definitely purchase this again!!! This time checking to be sure I'm getting the best deal on ALL boxes. :)

Guayusa tea is marketed as an alternative to coffee and tea. However if you look at the box for each of the flavors, you will see that the caffeine content for each one is very low. I can't rely on this to pick up my energy levels. I don't know if this is due to the leaves themselves or if RUNA decided to skimp on the quantity (as the caffeine content for each flavor varies). Also, guayusa is touted as having high levels of calming theanine similar to tea. No published evidence supports this however. Not a wise purchase and I don't see this tea gaining mainstream popularity.

I drink this tea when I start to feel run down, when other people around me are sick. I really enjoy the taste but seriously I think drinking this tea keeps me from getting sick. If you want a bigger boost of energy put 3 teabags in a tumbler and add honey for sweetness. No other tea is this helpful and I'll never buy another brand again.

I like Runa but realized I do not like ginger. It has a very strong after taste. I wish it was more citrus than ginger. I still recommend the product if you like ginger. I like the original flavor and guava the most.

This tea tastes great and is as advertised...clean and refreshing energy! We will be re-ordering.

I've tried another brand with same leaf that seemed to have stronger affect, so as of now I'd say its ok, but nothing amazing
