I found these silicone food bags sturdy and strong. My reason for only giving 4 stars was the top slider I found very difficult to manipulate with contents in the bags, the top had a tendency to fold over instead of staying erect. Dry food works perfectly, but the difficulty I mentioned about the slider made it messy to close with wet food. I also had a problem 'sealing' the bags. I think part of the problem was caused by my hands which were not strong enough to cope with this particular design.

These would be a great alternative to single use zip lock bags - which is what I am looking for - if they did everything a zip lock bag does without being as disposable. However, I find that they are not that great. They are actually quite cumbersome to store, both when empty in a cupboard or drawer, and when not entirely full in the fridge; they are not that easy to fill with left overs such as pasta, stews, etc as they do not stand up on their own; they are not that easy to clean - they certainly needed another clean after coming out of the dishwasher; and they stain easily. So all in all, they are expensive because of what they don't do rather than what they can do. I'm disappointed that I have not yet found a true alternative to the zip lock bag and I won't be purchasing any more.

I wanted to live these. I really do. I want to stop using zip lock bags but I cannot find a way to open these without using my teeth. The closure is really sticky on them. I like the idea. I will get new silicone bags but these ones aren't really usable.

I returned these. I'm sure they would be excellent for reliable, heavy duty freezer storage, but the closure mechanism was difficult to use and I needed something that could be opened and closed quickly and easily as I would be opening and closing them often. I also wanted to take them hiking and the rigid closing mechanism made them difficult to fit in my back pack. I bought instead some that have a press seal closure and I'm very happy with them.

I use mine for sous vide and it works great for that. The 1 gallon bag is quite big so you will need a big container for it, around 11l. The only thing wrong is the slider is quite stiff so requires some force to close.

I bought these bags to bring lunch to work instead of lunch boxes. They work well as space savers and they don't leak, at least for now as new.Sticky at first but after a wash they are ok. The bags seem strong.No issues closing them.Two concerns though: The bags don't have anything saying the are BPA free or any other seal about quality. I guess they are made in China, so who knows.. I wouldn't put them in microwave just in case.The bags absorb the smell of food and stains and it doesn't go away after washing. It helps if boiling the bags in water with bicarbonate of soda. Not very practical.I don't know if other brands are all the same , all unknown brands so hard to tell.

Love the concept of these, little fiddly to dry. Unfortunately the long plastic seal does not fit in my cool bag so can't use for work but good for the fridge and freezer.

Sometimes a Tupperware box just isn't the right thing to store food but I don't much like using disposable freezer bags. These are great. V durable. Can pop them in the dishwasher or just wash easily with the rest of the dishes. They're a v good size too - I've often found that this sort of thing drives and it's tiny and can barely fit anything in. These are particularly great for camping where you don't want to take up space with Tupperware to store leftovers. on a recent trip I took 8 chicken drumsticks in one bag with ample room for more, and 4 sausages and 4 kebabs in one of the smaller ones. And love the separate slide seals, rather than the usual in built ziplock style, that mean they are leak proof for once and don't think that will fail over time. great purchase.
