Terrible fit
So wanted these to fit well 36 waist , 30 leg .Just a very odd fit the distance between waist band and crutch was huge almost had to pull them up half way up chest ! I donβt like tight fitting or low rise trousers but these were baggy beyond belief .

Extremely reliable
My ONLY negative point about these pants is more of a personal problem that I have with all pants. I have short but big legs, so around the thigh and rear area, pants are always tight on me. I did expect them to provide a bit more room in that regard, but maybe my huge butt is the problem, not the pants.Other than that, the quality is amazing. I've owned a lot of tactical clothing over the years and the material feels absolutely solid. I put them to the test every single day and they're showing no signs of failing on me, even with my demanding junk in the trunk. So for the price, I can't imagine you'd be disappointed.

Very comfortable, practical and hard wearing trousers - still good after 7 years
I've just bought my second pair of Taclite Pro trousers, this review will focus however on the 1st pair I bought about 7 years ago, as far as I can tell the new trousers are essentially the same construction and design as the old ones. The first pair I bought are one of the two most comfortable pairs of trousers I own (the other being the similar but heavier 5.11 Tactical Pants), to the point that they're my preferred choice if I ever get the chance of a day of slobbing around the house. After 7 years there is a little visible wear, mainly fraying around the back of the ankles and as you'd expect for something that's had well over 100 washes they are now dark grey rather than black. The beltloops and pockets are all still intact too.

Good Kit
I have been wearing 5.11 trousers for a number of years. I like the cargo style as I carry a lot of stuff in my pockets and plenty of pockets mean the kit can be spread across more pockets leading to no unsightly bulges. I have these trousers made in two different materials: Teclite and cotton. Teclite is better for me as the rain tends to run off them even after 20 plus washes, so it must be something about the material rather than a coating, which usually are washed out within a few washes. The other attraction is that these trousers are so tough. They will last for years and still look good. This is my 6th pair and I have a 7th on order, which speaks volumes. They also come in a wide range of colours, hence why I am moving away from black to lighter shades.

Best combats ever!
I've had cotton 5.11s for years and they are still going strong (although somewhat faded).I'd bought another brand poly/cotton combats for hiking and was very pleased with them and wanted another pair or two, and thought I'd give this version of my cotton 5.11s a whirl. These are really great. Perfect for hot days and rainy days, as they are both 'lite' and dry quickly. With leggings underneath they make excellent winter hiking trousers. There is a good range of pockets. The phone pocket is much bigger now than it used to be, but is probably a little behind size wise for most smartphones these days, but there are plenty of other places to put a phone. They are comfortable, and if anything like their cotton cousins, will be very durable.Long may they continue to be made.

Perfect for security work
Way better than the rubbish combats I was given at work, plenty of pockets and very comfortable. My only gripe is that they're a bit baggier than I'd have liked. They hold up well in the outdoors too and have plenty of room for all your gear. The back pockets will comfortably fit a radio , I can fit a torch and my Spyderco in the knife pocket and a leatherman in the mobile phone pocket. Great overall

Not water resistant at all
Good enough pants, nice & solid but after wearing twice in rain have zero water repellency, despite photo on product page showing water just sitting on surface

Perfect but not the popper
Very comfortable, very practical and perfect fit, however I deducted a star because for the price I paid for them I didn't expect the popper to break as soon as I got in the van, but otherwise like the rest of the 5.11 range it's perfect
