Which is better printer Epson p800 or canon pro imagegraf P 1000?

"Better" is highly subjective. I evaluated both printers but decided on the Epson P800. The Epson has slightly higher resolution, but the Canon has significantly more nozzles. The droplet size of the Epson is smaller than that of the Canon, so the Epson can reproduce finer detail. The quality of both printers is excellent, but other comparisons I read said that the Canon had slightly better printer quality. So why did I choose the Epson? The Epson is a little smaller, much lighter (43 vs 71 lbs), is quieter, and uses less ink. Since there was little difference in print quality, it was these other aspects that drove me to choose the Epson over the Canon. FYI, someone else said that Canon has larger ink tanks, but they actually both have 80 ml ink tanks.

Will this printer do boarderless prints on fine art paper?

Yes, it will print border-less for certain print sizes 4" x 6", 5" x 7", 8" x 10", 11" x 14", 16" x 20", 17" x 22", and many more.

Does this come with accurip? It says it does on Epson's website but not here in the description.

There are two editions of this printer. The Screen Print Edition SCP800SP does include the AcuRip Black Pearl software. The standard edition SCP800SE does not include the AcuRip software.John

Does anybody know if is possible to print printable cd or dvd with this printer?

If you're willing to put in a little effort, yes. I've been printing cd/DVD labels since the 3800. Basically, get a piece of 11x17" matte board, use photoshop to print 6 DVD sized holes on it, cut out the holes, and glue this piece to an 11x17 piece of photo paper. You've made a tray. You can insert 6 DVDs into the holes and print on them from your photoshop "template." Be careful, though - you always HAVE TO HAVE 6 disks inserted (no matter how many you're actually printing) or rollers will fall into the holes during printing and freak the printer out.Yeah do all of this on the thick media setting using the front feed and straight threw ugh paper path. The whole thing ends up being about 1.3mm thick, which should work.Good luck and plan on investing a lot of time.
