how long does the filter last

We're on a well water system and we've used two 10 cup ZeroWater filters and had the same result. Using about 5 quarts a day (two 10 cup fills) my filters lasted 21 and 20 days. At about $13-15 each, these filters are too expensive to continue using because they don't last nearly as long as we hoped. Another consideration is they are difficult and expensive to recycle (ZeroWater needs you to pay for shipping) so if you're inclined to throw them in the trash, wouldn't recycling water bottles be better? Personally, we will lean on our delivered Absopure 5 gallon jugs more going forward.

Is the filter the same size and shape as larger ZW pitcher filters?

On https://www.zerowater.com/products, they only show two different size filters; one for the portable bottle and tumbler and the other for all pitchers and filtration systems.

I have the zero water 6 cup pitcher and TDS meter. Bought this pitcher 3 months ago and the meter still reads 002. When should I change filter?

When my new filter read 002, I tightened the filter up and refilled it. It then read 000
