My horse does not have cushings but needed some help with shedding. He’s n his upper teens and this product has been very helpful.

My horse is I.R. Keeping weight off means a grazing muzzle all the time, special feed, and being on a dry lot at certain times of the year.He is retired and lives at my vet's home/barn in N. Carolina. On occasion he goes lame/sore due to being overweight (navicular and arthritis).I had almost given up until I stumbled across this product.It is amazing. I mean amazing, amazing. You know with supplements sometimes you think they are working when you remove them and conditions change over a long period of time, but still you wonder. Most times you are never really sure if they are doing anything at all.My vet is excellent, old school, but still open minded. I don't think he thought it would work. Well, within one week my horse was dropping weight. He removed the grazing muzzle (first time in a long time) and still he kept losing weight. He was about 150 lbs over when we started. He actually lost so much weight that we stopped the Heiro altogether.When the new grass came in this fall/winter, he started putting on the weight again. Put him back on the Heiro and am now at the maintenance dose. He is 30. He is moving better than he has in 10 years. He has not been this lean in many, many years.The vet was so impressed. He actually told me he wished a lot more clients would use the Heiro.All I know as a horse owner is that this product really works. It has greatly improved the quality of life for my horse and given both myself and the vet some relief from the constant management techniques which didn't help him lose weight. He is still wearing a grazing muzzle due to the new grass coming in, but at least he is out in pasture. Going to try removing the grazing muzzle soon.The vet who made this product actually does what he says and will consult with your vet if you want.Can not recommend enough, it is a lifesaver. You can do the blood tests that he recommends and see the changes also. (we did)

My 32 year old mare foundered 1.5 months ago. And it is a bad founder... She stood up for 13 days before finally laying down. She then laid down for up to 17 hours at a time, only getting up long enough to potty. She has been on 10cc banamine for 22 days straight and then we went to 4 x of previcox since. My vet said that incredible care and time will get her back to sound. I had been living with her until she was "out of the woods" at day 26. She is my best friend and we have been together for over 20 years. So I am willing to walk to the Moon for her.The other day, feeling as though she will never be ok, I was referred to try this product. I figured after all I have done so far, why not. I started this supplement 5 days ago. Knowing how bad she is, I was doubtful that a supplement would do anything to help, boy was I wrong. Day 3, I thought she was getting up more. Day 5, she is standing for about 45 minutes before laying back down and only laying for a few hours at a time. Let me tell you this is a huge improvement for her.We have done everything so far to help her. Moved in 14 tons of sand, wrapped her feet, changed shoes, feeding and watering her while laying, have had to give her fluids via iv a few times, accupuncture, injections, you name it, we have done it. I wish I would of known of this sooner. I would of started her on this on day 1 and would probably be off of meds fully by now.This jar is beyond a must, it is my saving grace. No questions about it!!!!!

I am very, very glad that I decided to give this product a try. My 23 year old pony with cushings had become insulin resistant and was very laminitic. I tried everything, diet changes, medications, nothing was working. I was desperate to help him, but felt as if I had run out of options and would have to put him down to end his pain. I decided this would be the last supplement I would try, nothing else worked. After 2 days on Heiro, my pony walked out of his paddock like a million bucks. He could barely move for so long, I was unbelievably relieved and so happy. It worked amazingly well for my pony. Soaking his hay was helping at a snails pace, but using Heiro kicked his improvement into overdrive fast. This is the 100% honest truth. It might not work for every horse, but it certainly did for mine. He has been on it for over a month now, and he moves like he has new feet.I always hesitated to order this product because of the advertising claim that it gets horses back on pasture fast. This was not something I could believe in because my pony had grass foundered severely at a young age with his previous owner. Once this happens, their metabolism is never the same, and putting them back on lush grass again is never an option. But with his Cushings, and now insulin resistance, I decided to try the Heiro Insulin Resistance formula as a desperate, last ditch effort to help my pony when nothing else was helping after this bout of laminitis after the seasonal rise this winter. Like I said, it helped him so much I am amazed.I will keep him on it and am so thankful this product exists. There are so many products out there claiming to help with laminitis, but they don't work and we use all our money trying them. How many horses have been put down because nothing would help their pain, it is so sad. But the pain stopped for my pony with this product. Super happy!!!

My horse quit eating

I started using Heiro about 40 days ago as of the time I am writing this review. It is a last resort to helping my horse recover from insulin resistance and chronic founder due to the insulin levels. She was not sound enough to exercise and was not over weight. She was prescribed Metformin which helped the symptoms but her mouth and throat ulcerated so bad that we had to discontinue use. I have an excellent farrier also caring for her. She foundered again and was depressed with obvious pain all over her body. She was suffering to the point I was giving up and considering euthanizing her at only 13 years old. That's when out of desperation I started researching other alternatives of treatment. Heiro had good reviews so I purchased the 180 day dose. 40 days later she is finally down to Heiro and weaned down to 10mg bute twice a day. I reduce bute every day slowly. She was stalled for months to keep her off her feet to let the laminae heal. I have her outside for some exercise some of the day and hoof pain is greatly improved. I have hope now. I said when I purchased Heiro that I would give her the 180 days and if she was not better I would put her down. I was skeptical when I purchased Heiro but I have to say it is working and I have hope for a complete recovery. I will post another review in a couple of months to update our progress! Hopefully we can get back on the trails again!

Best stuff ever! My mare was lame on her front left and was back to normal in two days on Heiro. No hoof soaks or wrapping required. I have her on it daily as she is prone to lameness on that foot. I have recommended it to others and they have had great success with it, too. Well worth the money.

Did not see any appreciable improvement in my animals. Product is expensive (plus the additional $35. in shipping which I was not aware of) Would not buy again. Not worth it.

Have been using to retain a proper regime on my minatures. I have had some success.
