Vimour Back Glass Replacement Compatible with iPhone X 5.8 Inch with Pre-Installed Adhesive and Repair Tool Kits (Black)

I used a wagner heat gun from lowes which I had to strip paint for furniture. It has two settings high and low. The high was to high and I burnt a very small pixel on top right of phone. Shows up as yellow very unnoticeable but kicking my self for going to fast. It took me less than an hour to get all the glass removed from back. I used the scalpel for almost whole thing, tweezers a little once I got the glass to pick up from back. Def need gloves because things get hot, and the glass can flick off so uses safety glasses. It is for sure not water proof after this change. But the back fits absolutely perfect. I didn't even line it up to well, just put over camera whole and pushed down, done perfect fit. So easy. I was making this change to turn in my iphone for a trader, they would only give me $350 with broken back, $700 with it not broken so this little kit saved me $350 dollars so worth it.

First let me say the glass is great, very good quality and perfect replica of OEM.I consider myself incredibly handy, have replaced many front glass on iPhones and work with small electronics. I do electronics repairs , but this is different. Removing the old glass is a nightmare!!!! Took my two hours and camera no longer works. If you watch YouTube you will see thst many people loose Face ID and camera, some it comes back for. For me, will see. I just wanted to fix to trade it in and probably be fine for thst.I should note thst if you take your phone in for repair they don’t fix the glass this way, they replace the frame that has the glass.I would NEVER do this again, an absolute 2.5 hour nightmare!!! Just be warned, this isn’t easy, quick and may not work in the end.

This back glass kit worked well. They supply a number of tools to help with removal of the old glass which was MUCH appreciated! I used my hot air gun for soldering so that I could control the exact temperature (270°C) heating the back glass. The kit is great, the process is a nightmare. I wouldn’t like to do it again, but I’m glad that my back glass isn’t shattered anymore. Two things that are not included that you definitely need is double sided tape (to hold the phone down while you’re braking off the old glass) AND safety glasses (I had a pieces of glass chipping off and flying everywhere). See photos. One thing to note, is that I don’t believe the phone is water proof at all anymore because of how the new rear glass is glued on (supplied 3M tape). If I was going to do this again, I might try and peel off the 3M adhesive on the new glass and apply a layer of B7000 glue to the phone for better water resistance.

Use exacto knife with heat gun and you need more than one blades to finish this job.Make sure you wear gloves and eye protection and expect tones of little broken glass pieces.Good tip is to tape front screen and side with clear tape two layers so when you work on the phone you don’t accidentally scratch unwanted areas.Out come is very good. Be really careful around wireless charging, edges, Camera and volume and power button if you scratch the edges it will show.

Purchased to replace the glass back on iPhone X. It is space gray in color. It is perfectly cut. The pre-applied adhesive is a robust 3M adhesive. Kit comes with all the tools required. Some caveats. First, removing the existing glass back will take time — lots of time. You will absolutely need a heat gun. The iPhone will become too hot to handle, so be prepared. Expect the glass to shard/break away. Once the glass is completely removed, emphasis on *completely* from every edge and around the camera, and the old adhesive is removed and back panel cleaned, the phone will be ready to accept the new glass back. Remove the adhesive protection and place the the glass back around the camera as a guide. It fits perfectly and as flush as the back glass on a day 1 iPhone. Highly recommend this kit for those with patience. Do not attempt otherwise. The original glass is *very* difficult to remove.

Great product and inclusive tools! Took me about two hours to get the job done, from start to finish. A simple heat gun is a must! Working gloves are needed as the phone gets extremely hot to handle with bare hands and also working with a sharp scalpel along with the debris of broken glass shards in the repair field. I used a head light but an ordinary work lamp/light will just be fine. Peel off sticky back glass fits snugly and eliminate the requirement of additional adhesive, hence no mess or afterwards pressure application. Highly recommended!

This glass saved me a lot of money. Apple is charging 20x what this costs by replacing your phone when there’s no need too.This glass is identical!! Perfect fit and match for my iPhone. Yes disclaimer it does take alot of patience and about 2-3 hours to change but it is well worth it.The supplied kit comes with everything you need besides a heat gun and a good pair of gloves to avoid any cuts. I rarely write reviews but this deserves a 5 star rating!!!

I liked the actual cover. But the device that came with it to remove the broken glass of the phone was terrible. First the long pin thing that is supposed to pierce into gaps was very weak. It broke for me. The other blade attached to some plastic for handling was also a bit thick, so it would never go inside the broken pieces. The metal peaks were good. Giving it two stars considering the actual back glass was pretty good. Also it was impossible to get it done without a heat gun and extra appliances I had to order

Die Demontage des alten defekten Glases ist etwas aufwendiger.Dafür das montieren ist kinderleicht.Optisch kaum einen Unterschied zum Original.Optik und Haptik sind klasse.Nur würde ich nach dem Tausch nicht mehr damit schwimmen gehen.

Product is identical to the original iPhone back. Comes with all the tools necessary to do this. Removing the glass was time consuming. I recommend using a heat gun on low. I noticed using the heat gun as close and as carefully as possible helped remove the old glass. Once the glass is off, the new piece is very easy to apply.

Das Produkt ist sehr hochwertig und das Ergebnis bei richtiger Montage sieht aus wie neu. Allerdings sollte man dringend beachten das zur Montage bzw. zum lösen und entfernen der alten Rückseite ein Heißluftföhn nötig ist. Es geht dadurch auch um ein vielfaches schneller und Komponenten wie das kabellose Laden werden nicht beschädigt!

Das Abkratzen der alten Rückseite ist echt ein Geduldsakt, zumal sehr viele Glassplitter rumfliegen. Das Anbringen der neuen Rückseite ist jedoch ein Kinderspiel! Hier hängt die Genauigkeit natürlich davon ab, wie präzise man beim Abkratzen gearbeitet und Kleberückstände entfernt hat. Bei mir sitzt das ganze Perfekt.Durch nützliche Tips aus YT-Videos ist das ganze auch für Laien wie mich keine große Herausforderung!

Once the old glass was off it was super easy and quick to install the new back glass. Really nice quality. 10/10
