Happy!!
So far, so good! I was hesitant with the mixed reviews but decided to go with an extender that has the most reviews + stars.I received the extender earlier today and just got around to setting it up. The set up was very easy. I have spectrum wifi and although I do have a WPS button on the router, it didn’t work, (assuming it’s the crappy router that’s the problem since I couldn’t get it to connect to tv previously either) but the extender instructions gave a second method using iPhone wifi and website that was so easy and worked great! I have a dead spot in my room that constantly cut in and out and my phone never would work on Internet due to the walls in the house being plaster causing interference. So far I haven’t had any cutting in and out of my connection on neither phone or tv which is HUGE since it would occur almost every 15 minutes. I will update if anything changes my mind on this product but so far it’s def worth 5 stars!

Failed Every Test
Unfortunately, I have to side with the negative reviews on this one. I saw the reviews were pretty split before purchasing but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt anyway. After trying to get it to work for a week under various scenarios I’ve decided to return my unit. In hindsight, I can only guess that the reason the reviews are so split is because this product is just so incredibly inconsistent. While it does seem that many of the poor reviews are likely related to people who weren’t able to get the WPS to work at first (and gave up) I can say I had no issues with configuring the device. What I DID have issues with was it’s consistently awful performance no matter what I did.I’m in IT and I literally could NOT get this device to work under any testing scenario. It was so bad that no matter where I placed the extender it maxed out at 5-10mbps download speeds. Didn’t matter if I put the device in the plug next to my router or across the house in another room. Didn’t matter if the extender’s web page said the signal between my router and the extender was 100% or 80%. Didn’t matter if the blue light (indicating the signal to the router is sufficient) was blue or not. Didn’t matter how many times I reset the device, reconfigured it, what SSID I used, if I connected to the 2.4 or 5GHz channel, how close I was to the extender, etc etc etc. Absolutely nothing worked. Every time I tried something new I tested the connection to the extender and then my router and my old router continued to perform nearly 20x better than this extender. Every time. For a company that’s so focused on eliminating all wireless headaches I was pretty disappointed to find that their product actually achieved the exact opposite in my scenario. I am actually better off dealing with intermittent drops from my existing router than connecting to this so I can relive the days of dial-up. Will look into a standard big name extender to replace this.

READ BEFORE RETURNING!
I purchased this in hopes of extending the wifi signal after Frontier installed my internet service. First DO NOT PLUG THE UNIT IN UNTIL YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS. I plugged it in and couldn’t get it to comment with my router. Back to the instructions I went and realized I had missed the part about being right near the router before plugging it in. Once I moved it to near the router it appeared to be connecting however the signal kept dropping. It was showing up on my IPad but not actually connecting to my router. This is the part that created great frustration and almost had me sending it back. It wanted a security passcode but when I tried to enter my wifi password it kept giving me an error. Frontier attempted to assist me with establishing a connection and the password with no results. At this point I came back to the reviews hoping someone else had a solution. I came across a review that mentioned having to reset the extender back to original settings. Once I did this the rest of the process went smoothly. I was able to actually connect the extender to the router and extend the signal. For those that feel it doesn’t extend it any further you probably don’t have it actually connected to the router. Once I got that part done I had to experiment to find the best outlet to plug it into. I haven’t had any issues after the first night and the signal extension works perfectly!

A WiFi Booster that works like a charm.
Adding the Nextbox WiFi Extender made it possible to install 4 wireless security cameras and use multiple wireless devices around my 3,000 square foot house. Without it, I wasn't getting the signal strength needed to give me the connectivity I needed. Installation instructions were clearly described and I found that my signal range immediately got better after plugging the unit in. The 2G and 5G Hz modes and WPA2 security are also bonuses with this product. If not the best in its class, this WiFi booster is close to the top.

Does the Job with one Unit
I purchased two of these extenders thinking I would need to put one upstairs along the way to my basement where no significant signal could be found. I installed one of the NEXTBOX Extender using my wifi laptop signal to aid in best placement for the extender. Found the best spot on the main floor directly above where I was installing my desk and laptop. I could not keep a connection prior to the Extender, now I have full signal strength and wow what a difference a day makes. This extender does the job. I rated the easy to install because this area is not my strong suit. For most folks this would be a breeze. Top notch and with the $10 off, I think the $49 price you are getting a quality device...
