Very simple to use. cheap. built well. Nothing much left to say!
I don't believe in going into all these overly explanatory reviews so I will keep this short and simple. To the point, yeah?So as I am sure everyone who reads this will agree, you've seen virtual reality virtually everywhere. No pun intended. You want to try virtual reality but don't want to spend hundreds on a headset, right?Well give this kit a try. I bought this on a hook because I wanted to try VR, I wasn't let down.Design:This is simple. Just like basically every other company that makes these, they're literally made out of cardboard. They send this very well packaged. Simple things like "lens protectors" over the glass shows they care about quality and build. This is easy to set up and use. You almost don't even need instructions.Use:This was very easy to use. Simply launch up your VR app/game and slide your phone in. This holds your phone in tight and translates the VR app/game clearly. It is about as comfortable as it can be, it's cardboard with foam cushions.Problems:I have a big ole' head so the adhesive to hold the head straps popped off. I used a stronger adhesive from a store and it doesn't pop off now.If you have a big head like yours truly, you may have a problem.Hope this helps guys. If you're for sure looking at cardboard headsets, this is the one you want. Trust me!Onward,Nathaniel!

Good in theory. Not in practice.
***Update just after a month of having this. My review below still applies because I don't get to experience the VR with how the unit is built. I found that if I move my iPhone away from the lenses about a half inch, the images combine correctly and it's no longer blurry. Unfortunately, I'm unable to fix the iPhone into the headset with it like that so I have to hold the iPhone. The immersion is lost though since the front flap cannot be closed so I have light around the edges and I can see my iPhone. All in all, not workable for me but I get the idea.I gave it an extra star because of how cool the real thing may become. Unfortunately, this box doesn't work enough to enjoy the experience so it'll sit in a drawer until it gets thrown out. Its blurry. Can't make out anything. I know what I'm looking at because I've seen the video ahead of time but if I hadn't, I wouldn't know what I'm seeing. I've tried changing the distance of the phone and it doesn't help. I've looked online and people have done huge DIY projects to make it work but, A. I don't know about that kind of stuff and B. I'm not sure which solutions would work for me. My vision is very very good. I don't use or need contacts or glasses of any kind. I don't have problems with depth (I can see objects in the distance just as well as close up). I've had relatives try it also. Both said the same thing. I would very much like my money returned but this is the second unit I tried so I don't know that I'll ask. It's unfortunate, I was very hopeful.

Cheap alternative entry product for VR, but may not be nearly as durable as the more expensive ones!
This was my first Cardboard and also my first of the Virtual Reality (VR) of any kind. It is very interesting and this product is a cheap alternative to get involved in the new virtual reality craze. The installation is very easy and pretty straightforward. However, the padding used to hold the straps together did not hold up very well at all. By the end of my first 24 hour period owning and using this product, ALL THREE of the sticky paddings had peeled off of the kit and no longer held up. So now every time I try to use this product, about a minute or so in, the strap falls off (due to the sticky side of it not being able to hold the straps), which can be very annoying and ruin the experience. I enjoy using this product, but now I have to use it, while holding it with my two hands, instead of letting the straps hold it up for a hands-free experience (my head is not that big, I promise its about average sized, lol!).After I purchased this product, I noticed that some of the more expensive VR headsets came with focal adjustments, which I needed and would be a huge plus since this product is just standard and does not provide the ability for these fine tune adjustments, but I wasn't expecting to be able to do that with this product anyways. I would have given this product a better star rating as it does what it is intended to do as a cheap price without all of the fancy upgrades, but all three of the sticky pads giving out and no longer sticking a day in, kind of ruined this product for me (I know I can probably use a homemade fix for this problem, but thats besides the point, I was hoping it would hold up by itself). Overall, this is a great, cheap alternative entry product to this new virtual reality craze, but if you are looking for a product to use as virtual reality becomes more and more commonplace, this product will likely not last long enough (at least mine did not, I could have just gotten faulty sticky pads, who knows!) and I would recommend looking into purchasing a more expensive, but more durable VR product!

Sturdy, Good V2 Cardboard
Well constructed and works well. Nose pad came off on mine, but not a big deal. The construction is sturdy and the slip on cover is nice. Had a V1 cardboard before this and the V2 is quite a bit nicer.Cardboard V2 has the larger lenses, the large opening for bigger screen phones and an actual button rather than a magnet.Rubber band you add over the outer flap creates a bit of extra friction to prevent your phone from slipping out and a nice little trick

Interesting!
I was curious about virtual reality but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a piece of equipment without having some knowledge. This was the perfect way to explore this. It was easy enough to put together. I downloaded the QR for android in order to scan the code from the box. I was connected to the site and able to choose a few apps to view in VR mode. YouTube had a number of movies and snips that were enjoyable. I was even able to download a couple for virtual reality meditation. The quality of the lens could be better but, I mean for 8.00 dollars I really have no complaints. I may invest in a more expensive model with more bells and whistles but a first time experience it was fine. I'd recommend.

great as a taster of VR, but not a long term solution.
Purchased as I wanted to sample the hype around VR at present and this seemed a cheap introduction to see how far things have moved on. I must say things are way better than they used to be. I was very impressed with the images and the smoothness of tracking, all with my day to day phone - Samsung S6As for the Minkanak, it came well packaged up and mostly ready assembled. Just had to fold out the sides and insert the phone and I was away. The Velcro straps makes securing it on your head easy and hands free, although I'm not sure how well the adhesive will last with a phablet weighted phone. The main gripe is the one everyone should be familiar with which is the lack of lens adjustment, meaning you can't get the image sharper if it doesn't suit you straight out of the box. However as an initial introduction to see what VR is capable of offering, it serves the purpose well. I can now make a more informed choice of whether to purchase a better dedicated product such as the Homido with better optics and full adjustability. The question of can it fit over glasses comes up a lot and the answer is yes it will fit over frames as long as they aren't large extra wide frames. However it isn't very comfy as it forces the nose pegs into your nose/corner of eyes. ok for a few minutes, but you wouldn't want to watch a movie of anything that way!The only other gripe was a stringy glue like substance over various parts of the cardboard, which seemed to be a residue of the cutting process. most could just be removed with your fingers and pulled off, however one went over a lens and couldn't be removed without smudging some glue on the lens. managed to clean it off with glasses cleaner, but cleaning the lenses is quite tricky without pulling it all apart.Still, for a tenner it pretty much ticks all the essential boxes to try VR for minimal outlay. Can't comment on the longevity of it yet, but I suspect the cardboard/velcro won't hold up to regular use for more than a few weeks or so. But it you want to try VR without committing hundreds of pounds to see if it appeals, I would highly recommend it.

Must be better headsets out there
For what it is, it's ok. The VR experience is new to me and surprisingly immersive BUT! This headset has a few issues:1) instructions are poor. It only shows you how to unfold the headpiece, not where to place the elastic band or the NFC tag or explain what it does.2) And this is the biggest issue... We are a family of 6 and nobody can see a 100% clear picture. Focus is out and cannot be adjusted so all content (whether film or realtime 3D) is ghosting/doubling. My eyesight is fine and so is that if others but even those with glasses find the same problem. Based in this I cannot fully recommend this product.

A great way to see into the future of VR!
Great quality v2 kit, and is pretty much ready to go...no complicated folding of cardboard. For a first look at the future of Virtual Reality it's a great, affordable way, although unfortunately my unit had a problem with the NFC chip, and my Google Nexus 6 phone. I kept getting a message saying 'Empty tag' when I put the phone into it, so I couldn't use the Google cardboard app, but I could run other apps. The seller was very responsive and tried to offer solutions, but in the end I decided to return it. Shame, but I do still recommend it for this price.

Lots of fun!
This was really simple to set up and includes a very useful head strap. My One Plus 2 phone has a 5.5 inch screen, which fits with a little overhang, but that is fine as the full screen is still visible. The Minkanak product loses one star because I can see sweat marks where the forehead touches the cardboard, and the Google 2 cardboard was supposed to contain a protective layer to prevent those kinds of marks. That aside, however, this provides a very welcome, sturdy, fun and inexpensive introduction to the world of VR. Recommended.

Perfect, does what it says on the tin
Perfect, does what it says on the tin. Really easy to put together and great fun. Fitted my daughter's 6" phone easily.
