I think it would work because i used it also on a small area that was not smooth .

Sounds like you will need to do some sanding to restore the sharp edges and then repaint.

Metallic Paints and clear coat

This is an amazing product! The only negative is the company needs to figure out how to pack it so that they don’t leak. They didn’t leak much so it wasn’t worth the return. The pale gold is not a gold color but perfect accent color. The gold is stunning and the platinum is electric. You absolutely need the clear top coat to make it pop. Don’t skimp on that! Still working on the second bathroom.

Fallow the instructions. You may need more than three coats.Pricey, hard to apply in big areas but worth the time and money.

PAle gold came out as bronze. Very dark. Very unhappy.

Painters applied the color but it came as Bronze not Pale gold. Very dark. Very unhappy.
