RCA Discwasher D4+ Vinyl Record Care Refill, 1.69 fl. oz (50mL). Cleaning Fluid Refill for RD1007 Record Care System

I've had turntables for longer than I care to admit and I've always used the D4 Discwasher on my records. I have original LPs from the 70's that sound as good today as they did when I bought them because I 've kept them clean with D4. Easy to use, inexpensive - Highly recommended.

Works well but I wish it was in a dropper bottle like the original discwasher fluid. The spray pump makes it difficult to use the discwasher as originally intended. The spraying also dispenses more product of than is necessary and is wasteful. Other than that it performs well.

Haven’t used it yet because I got part of a previous bottle left. As some others commented earlier, I like the other bottles they earlier made that I could put four drops on my Discwasher Kit brush I have and clean record surface. This spray container is probably to spray record surface, not to use on brush I have. I am glad they at least still make and sell this D4 fluid I’ve been using for records since around 1980 when I bought my Discwasher kit with record brush, needle mirror and brush, and Zero stat. I have lots of records so I use that kit really often.

Holding the sprayer a half inch or so from brush, offers a nice even coat of D4 across the surface. One squirt while making a stroke or two stationary squirts, works perfect. Much more efficient than the eye dropper. I love the sprayer!!!

The liquid appears to work fine, I've been using Discwasher on my lps for over 40 years. HOWEVER, the spray bottle is very difficult to control and ends up wasting a lot of the liquid. I suspect somebody is trying to optimize profits here. Fortunately I had an empty squeeze bottle from earlier so I poured the liquid into that so I could control where the stuff goes. I'll be looking at the knock-off products for future purchases.

...and that is a long time ago. This stuff is the bomb. Does what it's supposed to do, decade after decade. You can pay more for other stuff. Don't know why you would.

Cleans vinyl records very well. But u must already have a cloth or other device to get down into the grooves to help pull the debris / dust out.

Very poor product. It came in a pump bottle. The pump stopped working with only about 25% of the solution used. Not worth the money.
