Is the drum made with animal skin?

no, drums are made with synthetic material. However, hand bells contains genuine leather material.

Is the recorder in tune?

It seemed fine to me...however this was for my grandson’s first birthday and what I can say is that he is now almost 16 months old and he loves these instruments more each day. They are beautiful quality and there are so many of them in the bag that I was extremely surprised they only cost what they did. I would have paid more for them! They are very easy to handle for his tiny hands. As I said, the recorder sounded fine. My grandson did not play it because he didn’t know how at that point, but his dad (my son) spent a long time cross legged on the floor playing it :D

From what age is this suitable from?

I have used it with 3 and 4 year olds. They loved the range of instruments and it comes in a handy little drawstring bag which is easy to carry around
