Great rebuild kit, probably the best ever.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great value for the money and had good reviews as well. I really only rebuilt the upper half and still have seals left over. Could instantly feel the difference once it was put back together. Within 3 pumps I had fuel up top again. Took a few times to bleed all the air out, but once I started I was excited since I thought it may have been the internal pump in the tank instead. Highly recommend this rebuild kit if you’re having fuel delivery issues. This was on a 2008 HD2500 with the Duramax diesel. The aluminum bleed screw is a bonus too. Nice replacement for the factory plastic bleed screw.

All the parts you need for primer rebuild.
This kit had everything I needed to rebuild my primer pump on my LB7. After the rebuild the air stayed out of the system. The only thing better would have been if they included the check valves, but no one appears to be currently doing that.

Other Option was to Spend $300.00
With a bit of Elbow Grease, these beat the option of replacing the complete unit. Let's face it: the upper unit of the fuel filter assembly is a machined piece of steel, and unless structurally damaged, there is not much that can go wrong with it. This leaves the seals, which are all easily replaced. You'll have to pull the assembly out anyway, so order the seal kit first and give it a shot. Worse case you spent an extra $12-$15, but could wind up saving a couple $100. That was my case.

Not up to specifications
Large 0-ring for the base of the plunger was out of spec. (too large ) and didn’t seal properly, so I had to put the old one back in to achieve a proper seal. Upon taking the new one out I noticed it appeared to swell a little; I hope the other o- rings don’t do the same or I’ll be taking the whole unit apart again. Needless to say the kit seal kit didn’t work to fix the problem.
