When used as a tablet the camera points in the wrong direction for taking pictures. Otherwise the computer is o.k.

Hate is a strong word but accurate
I was given this laptop by a family member after my 2007 Macbook finally died. They had won it in a giveaway so luckily this computer was free. I hate it. It's unbearably slow. At times it refuses to load websites even though I have a good internet connection. Trying to play youtube videos can be futile at times. Either they just won't play or it freezes. It's really impossible to stream anything on this computer. All I wanted this computer was for internet browsing and word processing. Word freezes occasionally but runs okay. The touch screen is a nice novelty but frivolous when I can't actually use this computer at times. The touch pad annoys me to no end. Sometimes when I click on the right side it left clicks instead. Sometimes it just won't click at all, either that or it's super sensitive. I used a Macbook with a broken touch pad for months and was excited to not have to used a mouse anymore. So much for that idea. I also dislike windows 8. I used windows computers for years before I got my mac so the windows operating system in general is not a shock to me. Plus I'm pretty tech savvy to begin with. The start screen is weird. All of the options pressure you into making a microsoft account which I don't have and am not interested in having. The upsides are that the sound is decent and the battery life is crazy long.Basically avoid this laptop at all costs unless it is free or if someone is holding a gun to your head, Or if you hate your life and enjoy yelling expletives constantly. It would also be ideal for decoration or a paper weight. Alternatively if you were deserted on an island and needed a companion but didn't have a volley ball on hand.

Don't buy. I think it has been discontinued though. Sound is tinny even when using an external headphone. Display is the worst of all the laptops I've had so far because of poor contrast. Have a hard time reading texts even when set to the brightest. If hooked up to big monitor it's even worse. My 6 year old toshiba vista has a better display than this. Scroll arrows is jerky when used. I'm sure I forgot to include a lot of other complaints, cause there's really a lot. I just hope it won't breakdown during trips which is the primary purpose I got this and to replace a single core netbook I used to bring along. Gave it 2 stars because of portability and price. Didn't buy it from amazon so I 'm not a verified purchaser.

Still using in 2021
Still use this computer in 2021. Battery still holds for +4hrs. Originally bought one in 2015 for promotional flyers & school work. Getting a desktop for the house but would buy again. Touch screen helps when drawing or organizing on screen.

Dell Inspiron 3135
I would like to recommend this product. I bought this from best buy, here the price quoted seems ok since I paid around $360 for this. I was looking for 11 inch laptops, tried an ASUS upfront, the 1.5 celeron equipped one, It was non responsive and was very slow in action. This looks pretty good in this price range.I have one concern about the screen brightness and contrast. This looks something strange for me sometimes, since sometimes it brights up itself, sometimes, low light. I use Mac book pro as well, but when I switch to this for personal use, I can see a huge difference in display.May be the power management software is not good, or the default settings for brightness and contrast is not so good.

Good Cheap Ultrabook for Business Traveler- With a Couple of Notes
First the likes:small, light, great battery life, touchscreen, Windows 8 (yes I do like it)Dislikes:Screen resolution is so so, keyboard is very cheap- had keys canting after less than 3 weeks. If you are like me and a tablet is nice but need a real keyboard, this is nice. If you don't want to drag a full laptop along but like touchscreen this is a little gem at a really cheap price. Its really a tablet with full windows, attached keyboard, and a dynamite processor / package for the money.
