Well made adapter at a good price.
The adapter is exactly what I needed to adapt a Bowens mount strobe to an Elinchrom mount beauty dish. The fit is excellent and the adapter is high quality.

Works better in some situations than others
One of the other comments notes that the adapter is deep enough to block the spread of light from the flash tube. For most traditional ring shaped flash tubes this is very true. I’m not sure what the design could do differently as the dimensions are dictated by the two mounts. However, if you’re using this with an s bracket and an ad200 style bare bulb… just slide the flash unit a bit further into the softbox.

Needed adjustment
I had to put a piece of sandpaper taped to the bench and sand about1/ 8 inch off the face for it to fit. It kept hitting the raised ridges and material at the ring and would not seat. Once I did that it was able to seat. It only took a little sanding to fit my older ring, but the newer ones were way thicker. Works great now!

It Works!
This product works pretty well. Good build quality (except for the locking switch, which is a cheaper plastic).

Engineer knowingly introduced a terribly flawed design
To create an adapter that would universally attach to any strobe with a Bowens mount, this flawed design uses a speedring collar that is much longer than it should be. This causes the entire lateral portion of the flashtube to be blocked once mounted into an Elinchrom light modifier. They could have easily used a simple and inexpensive telescoping tube design to allow the end user to manually adjust collar depth. In addition to that, the throat should be reflective, just as it is on every other speedring throat in existence.
