So nice I bought a second for another room!
I purchased this a/c for my mother's small bedroom last summer. It made a great difference to the heat, but not to the electric bill. So this summer I bought this a/c for the guest bedroom!- Very easy to install, with decent instructions- Reasonable sound level. Three fan settings range from quiet to loudish. Makes a thumpy noise when the compressor turns on. Hey, it's a winow a/c, it is not going to be silent.- Several settings including low energy use and dehumidify. Overall energy star rating is very good.- Fan only blows upward. I have a ceiling fan as well so together they give a nive cool breeze. If you want the cold air to blow at you, this may not be the right style- Front control buttons and remote easy to use

Good quiet window air conditioner
I bought this thing about 2 years ago because it was supposed to be quieter than other window air conditioners. Our bedroom gets really hot in the summer because it's directly above the garage and I generate heat like crazy when sleeping and that would wake me up covered in sweat. We had another A/C before this one, but the fan would run constantly and the compressor would just kick on and off when needed to maintain the temperature in the room. No bueno. So we spent a lot more on this one as it's supposed to be quieter.Overall I really like this air conditioner. It turns COMPLETELY off when it doesn't need to run. And I mean, no noise whatsoever like it's completely dead. There is a setting (Follow-me, I think it's called) where the air conditioner kicks on and off based on the temperature at the remote control. So put the remote close to your bed pointing at the air conditioner and it tells it when to turn on and off. It works very well. We set this thing at 68 degrees and basically run it 24/7 for 9 months out of the year. We've had it 2 years now and it has performed flawlessly.I can actually fall asleep during the cycles when the air conditioner is completely silent and the intermittent noise of it coming on throughout the night doesn't wake me up. It also has what I call a 'gentle' spin up of the fan. When the air conditioner does come on, the fan sloooowly comes on instead of that sudden lurch to full speed you get on others. So no sudden noises in the middle of the night to jar you out of sleep. This thing is also much quieter than the other windows air conditioners we've had. Noticeably so.The only downsides I've seen are that there is a light you can't turn completely off on the front. It's not very bright at all, but I like cave-like darkness when I sleep. A couple of pieces of black tape fixed that though. It also at one point had a slight vibration-type rattle at about a year in. Sounded like a piece of metal that was loose and vibrating on the outside-the-window portion of the air conditioner when the thing was running. Not real loud though and eventually went away on its own, so I'm not sure what it was.Overall, I highly recommend this air conditioner. It has spoiled me when I'm sleeping in my nice cool and quiet bedroom now.

Pretty decent for the price! Just a couple quirks...
When they say this thing is quieter than normal window AC units, that is true. It is. Of course, when the compressor kicks in, you hear it, so it's definitely not silent, but when directly compared to a LG window unit I have of the same size, it is definitely quieter. The only things that bother me:1. If you shut it off, when you turn it back on, it goes to the ES mode instead of the mode you previously had it on (cool, in my case). That's annoying. It should come back on to the same mode.2. It will make additional noises such as ticking due to expansion/contraction of something inside as it operates. That can be slightly annoying.3. It will also make water gurgling/sloshing sounds too as it spins up. But it seems my LG unit does this too and I've read that this is normal and part of the design. I get that. Apparently this makes it more efficient, but the water sloshing sounds as it starts up the compressor are annoying and adds to the noise. That's about it. In summary, you can't beat the price, it is quieter than other window AC units, and it cools well.

Quiet, excellent support
This is quiet enough I can leave it running in the bedroom at maximum cooling and it doesn't wake me. I dislike air conditioning and must have it, so this unit is ideal. It started making a noise after about a week, and product support helped me resolve it in one day, not an issue with the unit. I'd buy this again.

Pretty good
Pretty good. Quiet. Cools off house. Honestly did not use the remote so can’t rate that. But overall the air conditioner did not work as good as it did when I first got it. It was not as cold and that was About a month after using it.

Poor humidity control
The air conditioner does a decent job of cooling the room. But, and this is fairly major problem. It increases the humidity substantially while cooling. Now it's my understanding that an air conditioner is supposed to cool a room while also decreasing the humidity. I contacted customer service to see if I could get some help. They were not helpful. They just said it is normal behavior. Now I've been around awhile, and every air conditioner I've owned has decreased the humidity, not increase it. I will never purchase this brand again. One positive thing i will say is that it is quite.
