Can I use this steamer with a coveter plug in Europe?

Adding to my original answer: look up the voltage of the country you are visiting in advance. France is between 220-240v which most definitely burnt out the steamer. DO NOT USE IN FRANCE or any other place higher than the recommended voltage (110v).
