FIFA 16 & SteelBook (Amazon Exclusive) - Xbox One

I'm a fan of the series, and I've purchased and played through every Fifa for the past 8-10 years. So even with every new one released, I am able to make distinctions of changes in gameplay elements that ultimately changes my style of play from the previous game and forces me to adapt to it. The subtle changes in gameplay have become fewer for the past 3 years. Fifa 16 takes it to a whole new level...the subtle gameplay changes in this game have been nothing more than defensive animations and re-tweaking the over-powered attack from Fifa 15 to make it more balanced. That's literally all there is to it. I am greatly disappointed and even more disappointed at the professional reviews for this game handing out 8s. If you have Fifa 15 then I would suggest you skip this game altogether since you really won't be missing much at all.I also want to mention something about the career mode. It seems that EA has been ignoring the career mode in Fifa because it is still unrealistic and lacks any depth. Fifa's career modes have never been good and never been fleshed out. I can't believe that they made such a big deal about pre-season friendly tournaments for this year as if it was such a big new addition. The only other main addition to career is individual player training sessions which again, like tradition Fifa career modes, it has no real depth to it. The transfer market still acts out unrealistically, the AI clubs are unrealistic and random...and once you finish up a couple of seasons, you pretty much dominate everything and beat the game as early as ever.There are a lot of things that need to be changed, but if they're not going to do that then I feel that they should not charge full price for it. The series has gotten quite stale and needs revamping. It needs new commentators, it needs new revolutionary gameplay, it needs a total restructure of the boring and predictable career mode. Ultimately it's up to the consumer to let EA know that their rehashing is getting old because obviously we can no longer trust professional reviews anymore.

My 13 yr. old son made it very clear for months that he wanted this game for Christmas & when I saw it on sale along with the nice Amazon exclusive Steelbook I ordered it asap!The graphics are awesome it's so realistic and my son is hooked. He plays day and night. I didn't think any game could get him off Minecraft, but this did. There are many play options and you can recruit team members or play practice mode. It's really cool and my son said "it's really fun"! Very happy with this and arrived in good time

PROS* Decent improvement over previous versions* Kids love it* Allows for women's teams too* Now offers, in-game on-screen advice (ie X to do this move, Y to do that move) that adapt based on your position/play* Steelbook is a nice coverbox (yet that's all)CONS* Steelbook is merely a nicer, sturdier cover - no other benefitsSUMMARYA great game. And if you have games on show, consider the steelbook for added safety (stronger) and to look nicer

I dont know why there are so many bad reviews of this game, people complaining that its the same game or that change much worse.I came from the 360 and this is a nice upgrade, its the same game that I know and I love it. Yes it could be always better but still is s really good soccer game.The steelbook its really cool , and looks really nice.P.S. all the people saying PES its better and more realistic are really just fanboys

Actually, I don't even have the game yet. It was ordered on Dec 13th. Told I would get the order by Dec 24th, which I thought a bit long, but also thought, OK it is still before Christmas. Well TODAY DEC 24th I get an email stating, it has been shipped i will get it on Dec 29th. NICE WORK!! So, I guess my boy won't have the game with his Xbox one.

Nice packaging and very cool metal case that came with it. Unfortunately I made a mistake and ordered this XBox One game when my kids have a XBox 360 so I can't comment on the game itself.

Great game, great offer (steelbook) bad part is that you receive two box, one empty (steelbook) and one with the disc (plastic). I think they should find some deal to put the game directly on the steelbook, at the end the plastic case ends as trash or wasting space. Regardless this, the game is great.

The bonus case looks very cool ill say that, however the place where you place the disc is too big. Once i put it in, it was stuck. I almost broke the disc trying to get it back out. But other than that love the game.
