Small but Powerful, Very Comfortable!
This memory foam pillow is a really nice addition to the home and work. It's compact, as others have noted, but I was prepared for that and find it fits my needs perfectly. The memory foam initially feels firm but molds to support my neck or back comfortably, whether I'm lying down, sitting in a chair, or using it as a small pillow. The removable and washable cover is a great feature for keeping it clean easily as well. All in all, it provides excellent body support and I'm quite happy with its performance. Would definitely recommend it!

The perfect SOFT, GENTLE and SUPPORTIVE lumbar roll
My wife has purchased several of these lumbar rolls over the last 20 years. The roll's softness and support are it's best features. The foam is very crushable, conforms to your body and holds it's shape. This roll provides wonderful back support in the car and it will last for years. Recently our daughter had leg pain which radiated from her back to her thigh. She placed the roll under her thigh and it brought her relief and the possibity of sleep with little or no pain medication. The seller's description, "foam with a firm density," is extremely misleading. If it weren't such a wonderful product, I would have given it one star for this seller's use of the phrase "firm density" without the explanation that it is extremely crushable (conforms to your body) and holds it's shape. This roll stands in stark contrast to a "hard" or "firm" lumbar roll, such as the "McKenzie Lumbar Roll, made by OPTP," which forces your body to it's shape. My wife uses the McKenzie hard roll to support her feet in the car with her shoes on. If you need this type of support, McKenzie is the ticket. Amazon would be well advised to place this product on page one in the list of lumbar rolls: 1. For contrast and 2. To make it easier to find.

Comparison with other rolls
Because the foam is heat sensitive, this roll can be quite firm to begin with so isn't ideal immediately, but it's won me over. Here's why. I find a neck roll suits me better than a pillow at night because my hair doesn't end up mashed to my head, but finding the right type of support for both back and side sleeping is really a challenge.I have tried four different types of rolls, one of which is a U shaped neck support thing from BB&B that I love for back sleeping at night in the winter because the size and support is good and it keeps my neck warm (it's by Bedding Essentials and isn't sold on Amazon), but when I turn over it doesn't work anymore so I set out to find a roll that would work. My first requirement was that the roll not be too long because then my hair is still mashed and since I'm retired I don't want to wash and restyle it every day. 12" seemed good so I tried three rolls of that length. One, a firm density lumbar roll was far too firm for neck support and was sent back, the second is a simple 12" x 5" foam roll. It is also quite firm although better. It has only a cheap fabric covering though with not even a zipper to close it. I'm not impressed. This roll has a far more comfortable soft fabric covering that zips closed. When you first lay back against the pillow, it's quite firm, some may think too firm, in fact, when it was delivered and had sat outside in the cold for a while it was like a stone. But when it warms from your body heat, it softens quite pleasantly to conform to your shape. I put it under the blankets in my bed and when I turn on my side at night, I grab it for my pillow. Then it is just right as the foam compresses nicely to give the right amount of comfort and good support. And best of all, it accommodates my ear nicely so my ear is never sore or itchy in the morning as has happened with firmer rolls. Also the pillow doesn't seem to aggravate my rosacea which is made worse by too much heat. While this pillow is not perfect and I wouldn't choose it for traveling because it needs time to warm up, it's the best I've found so far for nighttime.

Don't buy if you need a soft rolled pillow.
Needed a neck pillow for when I sleep in my recliner. This looked good but when I received it, I found it a bit too firm. I need a softer rolled pillow.

Exactly as promised. Did not expect this pillow to perform as promised, but it did! Great price and fast delivery. Highly recommend.

Someone complained about the tags. No problem—see the video. Problem solved.
The media could not be loaded. It is perfect. Size is a wee bit small-but, I love it!

Carex Round Cervical Pillow: Scratchy Against Skin, Could be Firmer
I have owned this product, which I purchased here on Amazon, for two years. If I were to provide feedback to the manufacturer and other potential buyers, I would make the foam a bit more firm and the diameter of the pillow somewhat more narrow (or to provide more size options). At the current diameter, it rides up beneath my ear if I use it to support my neck during side sleeping. That, of course, won't matter if you have a long neck but mine is short. This Carex memory foam cervical pillow is denser than a HomMedics version I tried previously, in that it doesn't completely bottom out due to body heat. That being said, the chief flaw with this product is the cover. I have found no means to replace the cover, which within a few washings in cool water "pilled" very severely and is too scratchy to use during sleep. I use mine to prop my head up watching TV or to double as a lumbar roll. It's too bad this pillow wasn't a little firmer and didn't ship with a velor cover. I have a Contour Cloud knee pillow with a velvety soft velor cover that is still intact after 10 years. I replaced the former due to age, not because it wore out to any significant degree. This cotton/poly cover, by contrast, became ridiculously rough and uncomfortable within a matter of months, but there is no real way to replace it due to the shape and size. If Carex would make just a few improvements, I could recommend it. As it stands, I cannot.
