The cable I received did not work with my Samsung ...

The cable I received did not work with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 lite. in the package said it's compatible for I phones, but it does not say that it's compatible with my tablet. the cable does not transfer any signal from my tablet to my TV. but they suppose to send me another one may be it was defective, will see.
