My wife was born in Italy. It is a tradition to have the candied almonds at weddings and baptisms, and most get-togethers that have a religious significance. These were by far the freshest and best tasting ones that we have come across and wouldn’t hesitate to order again or recommend to anyone in the market.

The BEST. These are NOT “Jordan Almonds.”
QUALITY. The texture, the thinness of the shell, & the special variety almonds (grown only in Spain, if memory serves) make these one of my favorite treats ever. (Note that I have never enjoyed or been tempted by Jordan Almonds! Very different experience.)These aren’t cheap, so I do not treat these like setting out a bowl of m&ms. They are for a very special occasion or (more often) private consumption—sometimes shared with my husband. 🙃

Medicis sugar-coated almonds
Package does NOT contain 85 almonds! Not even close. I counted and mine contained 73 almonds (12 short). I ordered 2 packages and look forward the additional 24 almonds.

My all time favorite!!!!
I LOVE Medicis but wanted the white ones and couldn’t find them. These are the very BEST Jordan almonds out there. Not too sweet and not hard . The tapioca type covering and flavor is perfection. Please offer the white ones again!

Some almonds better than others
These are good almonds. I am rating them 4 stars for two reasons: price and taste. There are decent almonds in the mix. There are a few really wonderful almonds in the mix. If they were all really wonderful almonds that taste like almond extract, the price would be beyond worth it. Sadly, that was not the case. Most tasted like a sugar coated grocery store almond. The bag I received was fresh and had very few broken pieces. I would buy again, and hope for more of the super yummy almonds the next time.If you buy and think these are nothing special after eating one or two, just keep trying them. If you get one of the really good ones, you'll know why people who give glowing reviews feel the way they do about these almonds.Don't chow down on these candied almonds. Let the food coloring and sugar dissolve before you bit into it. The overall experience is better if you let them linger in your mouth.
