I have never been this psyched to write a review before. I usually write them because I value the feedback of others before I am about to spend my money, and I want to extend the same courtesy to others. In this case, however, I am excited to share my thoughts.Rarely do I find a product that looks or works as well in real life as it does in the video or description online. I kind of muddle through and end up giving it the old "Eh, that'll do." I just installed this on my 2018 RAV4 XLE and could not be happier with the result. While my particular smartphone is about 7 inches in length and placing it vertically is mildly intrusive, I appreciate this holder's ability to also hold the phone horizontally. I no longer have to choose between having my phone where it is most useful or choosing to block an AC vent in the summer or my vision year round. Were there other options available? Yes, nearly identical ones for $5 to $15 more. What would that have gotten me? A device that looked and functioned identically. I specifically chose this one because it did not offer a contact charging option, they are typically wasted on the Z-Flip because the induction pad on the phone is very low. Also, I didn't want a cord hanging down when I've just gotten in the car with a charged phone. The forked bottom holder will allow the phone to be plugged in vertically if I need to.What I wanted was a holder that didn't keep me from using any vehicle features, no adhesive or suction cups to re-stick, and a clean minimalist look. The AYADA phone holder delivered. I'll update this review in a few months if there are any issues with long-term durability.

First of all, this product is amazing in terms of design. This design surpasses all other phone holders for a Rav4. No sticky pads or suction cups to go bad and have to replace, and the horizontal vents don't work for that type of holder. This mount keeps the phone from blocking the driver's view, but close enough to allow for quick glances at maps that keep the driver from taking their eyes off the road. Additionally, the phone doesn't block the air vents or radio buttons. Truly a wonderful design.The first product I received must have been defective because the plastic clip that holds the mount to the car broke off, rendering the mount unusable. That being said, the customer service of this seller is excellent. They very swiftly mailed me not just one, but two replacements. I have had the replacement for a week now with absolutely no problems. I would highly recommend this product based on the excellent design and customer service of the seller!

I bought this mount since it should clip into the trim of my 2018 RAV4 LE and doesn't block air vents or sit too high on the dash. Unfortunately, the maximum width of the holder was not specified and I found that it does not fit my Samsung Galaxy S10e with its OtterBox Defender case. I was able to use the trim clip with the sphere piece along with another case I had that accepts the sphere to put together my own phone holder that does work for my phone.I wish they sold just the trim clip with sphere pieces separately and accurately advertised the dimensions/specifications of the holder.Update: after 17 months, it broke.

As you know if you are reading this review, the RAV4 has vertical vent fins. (At least my 2017 does). This makes it hard to use any type of phone holder that hooks into the vents. I had a magnetic phone holder when I had my iphone 7Plus that worked pretty well, but it required that I put a metal disc inside my case in order to give the magnet enough sticking power.When I went to the iPhone 12 pro it has magnetic charging. I tried putting the metal disk inside the case like I had before, but it blocked use of my magnetic charger, and the phone fell off the holder occasionally.That put me on the hunt for a holder that did not use a magnet nor hook into the fins on the vents. This was the best combination of function and cost that I could find. Installation seemed like it would be scary since it requires prying up the silver trim at the front of the dash, but the holder came with a cool tool that allowed me to lift it up pretty easily and scoot the back end of the holder up underneath. Presto - a nice firm hold onto my dash without suction cups or adhesives!The holder is easy to use, you just place the phone down through the top arms and the weight of the phone causes the 2 little "arms" to grab the phone, and it sits securely in the bottom groove of the holder.I took away a star because it's hard to get the holder completely tight to the base and I did have it loosen up one time. But overall it has been quite stable and puts the phone in perfect position to glance at and switch apps while I'm driving.Good solution to a tricky RAV4 problem!

This is a great product. It installed easily on my dash without screws, glue, double-sided tape, etc.When I got it I had a Galaxy s10 in a case and it was great vertically or horizontally.If you have the proper year Rav4 and a normal sized phone, I say go for it.The problem is I just got an s23 Ultra in an OtterBox case, and it's just a bit to wide for it.I wonder if there is one that is a little larger, or if the mount can be adjusted for a larger phone?

I have replaced this thing I think 3-4 times now in the last two years. Same thing happens every time…the little clips on the top that hold it in to the dash break off :| Just is super annoying. I think they need to make that bottom piece that clips in out of metal so it’s not able to break or bend under the weight of the phone or extreme heat in the car. Also make the clips able to hold a little bit thicker if a phone case. Other than those things I love that it’s not in my vent or needing to use adhesive because I’m in AZ and the adhesive doesn’t hold up and taking up a vent is not an option in this heat!

This is probably the best iPhone holder ever! Easy to install and holds perfectly! Highly recommend.
