I love the Hair Magic hair sponge. This sponge has two sides. I use one side for tighter twists. The other side can be used for loose twists and styling. Others have pointed out the fact that the sponge is really big. That is very true. The sponge is almost the length of a football. I did get used to this quickly though. It's not difficult handle and even though it's really big, you can still use part to focus on one area of your head if you'd like to. It's also really easy to use. All I do is wet my hands, rub it in my hair and rub the sponge through my hair with a clockwise or counterclockwise motion until the twists are as tight as I'd like. Usually that's about 30-45 seconds or so.I received this product in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.

As per my friend who owns a barbershop, loves to use the hair magic sponge for his clients. I purchased this for him to use and it's been great. Prefect for African Americans with dreads, afros or locks. Message the hairs with some hair cream and use the sponge on top of the hairs and they'll achieve the hairstyle (tight curls or twists) This tool works best on hair that is only slightly damp. Apply a twist and loc gel or your regular styling gel to your slightly damp hair. You may also apply some of your styling product to the sponge. Use sponge and go in a circular motion across your head. Do not press heavily on the hair. Spin in one direction only. Withina few minutes, you'll have a head of perfectly formed twists.
