Can you use on a sheet cake or does it have to be a multi-tier cake?

Absolutely! You can use on any cake you like. We used it on a round cake without tiers. Turned out very cute and my daughter still plays with the figures.

How much glitter is on this and can it be washed off?

It’s not a whole lot of glitter. The glitter is only on the roof of the pieces (purple part) and some on the sticker images on the castle. I do not like glitter, so I dusted it off as much as I could before putting it on the cake. The pieces come with plastic liners - plastic tray like things that you can place under the toppers so the topper never actually touches any of the icing. Also, there is no glitter on the pink parts of the castle so theoretically, there would be no glitter touching the actual cake, even if you didn’t use the liners.

Could I remove the picture with Beauty and the Beast and replace it with another picture?

The Beauty and the Beast is just a sticker so you possibly replace it or cover it with something else.

What to do if it is damaged during transportation

I did not have a problem. Mine is perfect and has survived 2 years of child’s play after we used it on the cake. I would start with contacting amazon. They have been helpful with pst purchases, good luck.
