These cabinet locks are great! They hold tight and function well. They can make your kitchen safe but retain the pre-children look! Of course the adhesive is not as strong as anything that's screwed to the cabinets, but for my 2 year old, it's enough to know that the cabinet is "locked". These ones have 3M adhesive and trust me, there is a marked difference between locks like this with vs without the 3M tape! Something I didn't read until after installing these, is that the glue sets over the first 24hrs, so it's easier to "adjust" the position of a lock after just putting it on than it would be a day or two later.This general design is nice because there's nothing on the outside. The little magnetic key works through most cabinet thicknesses, though if you have cabinets from Viking country, you might want to measure before ordering. One thing I have noticed, is there seems to be an invisible (internal) metal joint in the corner of my wood cabinets, this can cause the lock to stay open. Just practice with the placement before taking the seal off the sticker. Moving the lock away from the corner solved the conflict. I also like that the locks can be unlocked permanently with the flick of a lever on the bottom.This particular set has several things that I really like about it which other sets do not. The first is the 3M adhesive, this is a must! There are even a few extra pads in case you make a mistake. The second is the all purpose flexible latches. You just can't put these locks on "everything" there are limitations, and the flexible sets cover that gap pretty well. The third is that this set comes with long latches (the opposite side of the lock), which means there is a lot of forgiveness in placing the lock horizontally. You still need to get the vertical very close to perfect, but every little bit helps.At $20 for this set, it's a pretty good deal, especially for the peace of mind of a safe(er) kitchen/bathroom/craftroom etc.I write reviews to help others make informed decisions when buying. I have bought several other brands of what seem to be the same magnetic locks. I bought two sets of these from this manufacturer to finish off my baby proofing and they simply don't stick. The receiving piece that attaches to the cabinet have universally failed on all 12 locks within 2 weeks of installation. I cleaned all surfaces with rubbing alcohol and didn't engage the locks for 48 hours so its not an instalation issue. The magnet is also far weaker than the other brands. I guess they might look like the other brands but don't perform to the same degree (or these are the rejects).

make sure to clean the surfaces good before using the adhesive. they worked for about a day before my daughter figured out just keep pulling until the top drawer opened enough to bypass the lock on the cabinet below, so placement is key. our cabinets are shaped deeply and overlap so the locks weren't clamping enough to stay secured, sence the lock pad was hooked to the drawers above, gonna move them to the side of the cabinet if possible. when using a new adhesive pad on the lock,make sure to remove the square in the center or the latch will stick and not lift fully. overall I love that these were pretty easy to install, and don't leave marks. the pop tabs I used for the oven, and have pulled the adhesive part off a few times forgetting it's there when opening the oven. they can be used for fridges and toilets also, haven't tried yet though. those kind have a snap that holds the band, and not a magnet, so your not searching for the key to open the toilet which has is a nice feature to prevent accidents, lol

An amazing deal on a great product. Stick on magnetic child locks seems to be a new thing, because I never saw it in stores or online when my 5yr old was born. It's such a huge improvement on the kind that you have to drill or stick your finger in a little crack to use. They even include EXTRA STICKERS in case you change your mind and want to use it elsewhere!So far I've installed one on a kitchen cabinet and it works amazing. I tried to use a set on a closet door, and while the latch part was working fine, the door is just too thick for the magnet to work, but keep in mind, it's not advertised to work on such thick doors! I guess I'll have to put a lock on that door. :-/Very happy with the product and the value of the bundle that they included. I'll probably use the bonus locks on the fridge!

Magnet was weak did not work on my cabinets..

Works great on our dressers and their customer service is amazing! Currently, our kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers are too thick for the magnets to be unlocked… I will be contacting their customer service to see if there is something else I could do to make them work. Hopefully I will be able to update to five star soon!

I have bought one set to test it out and then bought another one. Locks hold in place very well. I recommend installing the locks at night so that the adhesive can really catch on and that way you wont accidently pull it off when you forget about it. By morning time the locks will be engaged and work great. A few tugs on it by 3 yr old and 1 yr old and they've stopped going to our TV cabinet. I also have them on our medicide cabinets and kids bathroom sink base. Enjoy - they're great locks! as for the strappy thing - I don't have use for it, but the lock set with two magnets was a great buy and worth the price.

I bought this set of locks because they were unobtrusive and because I felt I got more locks for my money. The added safety latches are a bonus that I'm sure we'll use once our little one starts walking. The locks were a breeze to set up and they seem pretty sturdy (we'll ultimately see how durable they are once our toddler starts tugging at cabinets). But the peace of mind they've given us is tremendous. We'll probably end up purchasing more once we find other cabinets we need to secure.
