This product does exactly as advertised. Very simple, yet very effective.I tried to install a washer (seems like you need a washer for something like this), but it will not take one...and you do not need one. Just screw the cap on (snug) and follow the rest of the directions.You may have to order more than one adapter if you plan on having multiple bottles of carbonation on hand, but it still is MUCH cheaper (and fun) making your own creative mixes.

I tried this on a dozen different manufacturers of plastic bottles. None would seal, and very few would even thread on straight. There is a large ridge on the sealing surface of the underside of the cap. I tried a dozen thin/thick/soft/firm o-rings of various materials and still none would seal above 3 psi. As a last ditch effort I dremelled the ridge off the inside of the cap which definitely improved performance but still couldn't maintain a seal above 8 psi. Into the trash bin it goes. I don't understand how this product can exist when the stainless equivalent outperforms it 10 to 1, and it's only a few dollars more. Don't waste time in the o-ring drawer or at the dremel bench trying to make this item function. It earns 1 star as I was able to salvage the upper o-ring off it; so now I have a spare for my stainless caps.

The customer service for this company is top notch. They were extremely fast and responsive when I emailed them with an issue. The problem with this product is it doesn't work well. The cap didn't screw on straight and no matter how hard I tired I couldn't get it to seal. I was also using one of the most mass produced plastic bottles in the industry (Sprite PET bottle made by coke) I almost feel bad writing this review because like I said the customer service team is amazing but the product is horrible. After reading the reviews for this cap and seeing other unhappy people I decided to be proactive and ordered a stainless steel version the next day just in case it didn't work and I'm glad I did. The stainless steel cap fit perfectly on the same bottle. It came with an O ring on the inside for a leak free and secure fit. The fizzblaster doesn't have an O ring on the inside. The stainless steel version also goes in and out of the ball lock much easier. This plastic one is tough to get in and out of the ball lock. You really have to twist and pry it out. I give this 2 stars because this is a product review. If it were a company review I'd give them 5 stars. I think this plastic model can work but they need to redesign it.

Fit on a select few bottles (with a certain type of lid) but after a few weeks the same bottles wouldn't fit this top. It will no longer screw on tight/straight and therefore don't make it airtight and therefore doesn't work to carbonate

I have a few of these, and have been using them for years. They are pretty solid.

The threaded portion of the FizzBlaster is to deep. It hits the collar of the soda bottle before the internal seal makes contact. Consequently there is no seal and no pressurization possible.
