Excellent value for very good Micro USB cable in a field of many horrors
(Dec 2020) $12 for six Aukey Micro-USB cables is an excellent deal on one of the better Micro-USB cables out there. Many/most cheap off-brand Micro-USB cables are decidedly lower quality with iffy charging speeds and dubious internal construction. While I can wholeheartedly recommend this Aukey 6-pack at this price, you may also wish to compare:- price,- customer support / warranty,- durability, and- stylewith Anker and my new favorite INIU, before making up your mind. I tested budget oriented multi-packs of four brands, including the (even more) off-brand, Ailkin, that offers fun colors in a useful 10' length.PRICE:Coupons and lightning deals often available.- Aukey: $12 for 6-pack, model CB-D17 with lengths from 1' to 10'. BEST PRICE-PER-CABLE!- Anker $15 for 5-pack, model AK-B8132018 with lengths from 1' to 10'. (Plus I paid almost $1 in tax, oddly for only this item.) GREAT PRICE-PER-CABLE FOR ANKER QUALITY/WARRANTY, though most expensive in this comparison- INIU $10 for 3-pack, model DI-D4M with lengths from 1.6' to 6.6'. INIU runs deals and lightning deals *frequently*, so I paid $7.63 and $8.98. GREAT PRICE-PER-CABLE FOR GIFT-QUALITY & BEST WARRANTY.- Ailkin $13.59 for 5-pack (5 colors), 10' "Android 3A power cables". A really good price for 10-foot cables, except for the wholy inadequate 0.5A - 1A unstable charging speeds. And I never saw a coupon or discount on these!CHARGING SPEED:I did not test 3A charging, not any specialized protocols, like Quick Charge, so I cannot advise there. Using a USB tester, a 12W wall charger, and a 10W draw (recharging a powerbank):- I confirmed at least 10W charging speeds (5V/2A) for the three shortest Aukey cables: 1', 3.3' and 6.6'. Using the 9.9' cable, I got a max charging speed of 8W (5V/1.6A), which is very respectable for that long of a cable.- Anker supports essentially the same charging speeds, possibly a bit better than Aukey in certain cases.- INIU also supports 10W charging, but with a slight penalty (9.27W) in the longer 6.6' cable (and no availability of a 10' Micro-USB cable).- Sadly, the Ailkin 10' cable I tested varied from 0.5A (2.5W) to 1A (5W), depending on how I held the cable, a major underperformer. I did not test the other four cables in the same pack.STABILITY UNDER MOVEMENT:- Aukey, Anker and INIU all maintained their charging speeds as I fiddled with the cable, lifting and wiggling it, during charging.- The 10' Ailkin's charging speed was all over the place when I manipulated the cable ... as if perhaps the wire connections were weak at the connectors, or there was some internal damage to the wiring. I surmised the internal construction was poor, though perhaps this was a rare defect.DURABILITY:- INIU is the clear winner here, in my opinion, with hefty metal connectors, generous reinforcement at the bend/fray points, fabric braid around sturdy flat-style cables, and fancy claims about the internal wiring.- Aukey and Anker are reliable and claim thousands of bends, but don't have that confidence-inspiring reinforcement at the bend points of these TPU (?) cables. But some users may prefer this lightweight skinny rubbery plastic form factor.- Ailkin cables *look* durable and well constructed physically, but I no longer trust their internal wiring to be high quality or long lasting.STYLE:- INIUs are the gift-suitable style winners by far, given the flattish model, handsome easy-to-grab metal connectors, anf tiny green LED rings at the small connector end. (And I'm not even an "LEDs on cables" fan).- These particular Aukeys and Ankers were unassuming, utilitarian and black with smallish plastic connectors. Hard to find in your extra cables drawer. Ho-hum, but who really cares?- The only reason to buy Ailkins, IMO, is if you REALLY want different colors, say for your family of five, and can get a big discount, paying no more than $1-2 dollars each, accepting they may be ultra-slow charging short term throwaways. Ailkin would be happy to replace them, tho!WARRANTY / SUPPORT:- Aukey's 24-month warranty is great, but their legendary responsiveness to warranty claims may be a thing of the past. I had trouble getting responses to several support requests over several months, though perhaps it was the busy 2020 Black Friday and holiday schedule.- Anker may retain an edge here, with their respectable 18-month warranty; They recently replaced my older red braid 6-ft USB-C cable with an upgraded one.- My new favorite cable manufacturer, INIU, blows both of them away with their 3 year replacement warranty and prompt enthusiastic support that got me a miraculous replacement of a 3-pack by Xmas Eve!!- Ailkin gets a very honorable mention, though, simply for being one of the few way-off-brand Chinese cable manufacturers to respond quickly to my several messages, and offer an 18-month warranty. I actually like this brand for their colorful mini 12W power adapters, with folding prongs and claims of the safety features we all want, but few cheapos even advertise.

Best USB Micro Charging Cables I've Ever Used
When they say these cables are thicker and charge better, I was skeptical. However, after receiving them and using them for a while, I'm no longer questioning their claims. These are easily twice as thick as standard cables, or more, and because of that (and the thicker and heavier gauge wires they carry) these cables charge much better. I haven't gotten a single message about a charger or cable not charging at the devices threshold on ANY of the devices I have charged, and I have a lot. These are definitely built for the long haul, and after using them, I can promise you that I will always be paying close attention to how thick the wires are in the future. They really are the best USB charging cables I've ever had, not to mention incredibly convenient in the multi pack.

Aukey is fantastic don't buy the off brands
We've tried other brands but we always go back to these but it is important to use a fast charge charging block if you has a large device such as a Fire HD 10 it will just charge quicker if you have a comprable block to go with the cords these are awesome they never fail us and as we lose them or our three-year-old breaks off the charger trying to get her fire device we just get more because they're so cheap and we are always misplacing them so it's a great Buy and they charge your devices fast don't buy the cheap crap that is off-brand stick to the aukeyThey will not heat up and Catch Fire like the Stanley we had that issue with them very disappointing for that brand

When paired with the Aukey USB wall charger and the Aukey car charger these cords can increase your charging speed, and the long cords (9ft & 6ft) are handy for when you need a charge but can't quite reach. Also works perfectly with most computers (haven't tested apple computers, but have tried Dell, IBM, and a few other brands) and allows you to transfer, charge, etc without issue, and is compatible with the PS4 controllers/console, (can also be used for connecting PS4 controller to laptop/desktop with the right software downloaded) I bought two packs, my husband uses the 9ft cords for his PS4 and I use the 6ft cords for my phone and kindle, the rest are used in various ways around the house as backup chargers.

Great For Spares And Replacements...
Own devices that charge via Micro-USB? This Aukey (6-Pack) Premium Micro USB Cables set is a must have. The pack comes with (2) 1' cables and (2) 3.3' cables, (1) 6.6' and one massive 9.9ft micro-USB cable. I keep a 1' on my desk and one in the car for charging needs in a flash or for quickly connecting a hard drive. The 1' length is great to keep clutter down on the desk and for use with charging hubs. The 3' cables are great for general charging, but also give me more space for syncing and using my device at the same time. The cables also work great for data transfer as well which is a huge plus. 6.6' and 9.9' give me more room for charging and device use, especially for places where outlets may not be conveniently located to relaxation.Overall, excellent Micro-USB cables, couldn't expect more.[Review Sample Provided For Review And Evaluation]

I'm giving these 5 stars because they work fantastically with my car charger - which is why I bought these. The car charger I have shows the amperage drawn from your device being charged. I had been using a $0.99 USB Micro charger cord with my phone, and the car charger showed 0.10 amps when using that cord. If I was using the navigation feature, the phone would drain the battery faster than it could be replenished. When I used the cord that came with the phone, my charger showed that it was drawing 0.8 amps. The charger could keep up with the battery, but not get ahead when using nav. When I use these cables, the charger shows 1.44 amps!! The phone charges quickly, and is able to get the phone to 100% while using nav, but does not overheat. It turns out, however, that when I use these cables with my home charger, the phone quickly turns off charging and behaves as if it is not connected to a charger.
