My son is in a Montessori school and they use this to help others respect their work space. My 3 year understands that when his peers are “working,” he is expected to walk around the mat.

I’m not sure what I was expecting but i feel like it wasn’t something this nice. our daughter needed a mat for lunchtime at camp so we grabbed this inexpensive one. It the perfect size for montessori work and is of good quality. After camp ended we’ve used it for all her activities. This is a surprisingly solid inexpensive option.

They machine wash and tumble dry well and look good.

I love this mat. It is long enough to fit one sentence on it. It is very well made out of a thick material and it even has an anti slip bottom which I appreciate. It helps keep the mat in place. I didn’t buy the original Montessori letters to go with the mat, instead I printed letters, then laminated and cut them out to use for spelling. This combination works well.

The texture is so nice and soft. The quality is definitely there for child play

Purchased for my son who has trouble writing. Thought it might help with learning his spelling while reducing his frustration with writing. Is a great alternative. Would purchase again.
