Sitchin was a remarkable historian and innovative thinker. I've always enjoyed his books. While this one went into great depth in explaining the ancient traditions and beliefs concerning Human Time, Divine Time, and Celestial Time, mostly with the Sumerians, I wish he delved more into findings surrounding Stonehenge. Early in the book, he postulates a influence of the Anunnaki with the megalith builders in Europe, but falls short of showing the existence of any literary tradition, of inscriptions and texts, like those found in Egypt and Mesopotamia. I finished WHEN TIME BEGAN with the question of whether or not the figure of Thoth/Ningishzidda was present among the inhabitants of Britain so as to direct and guide the construction of Stonehenge. This connection was showed in THE LOST REALMS with stories and legends of Quetzalcoatl in Central America, but there was no connection shown with a similar character found in European mythologies.

Every book in the Earth Chronicles series is a delight to read. You may not agree with all of Sitchin's theories regarding Nibiru and the Anunnaki, but his chronology of ancient history and global events is spot-on, and his understanding of Sumerian mythology and language is impeccable. Regardless of the personal conclusions you arrive at after reading his work, I can certainly guarantee that you will also come away with a much greater sense of possibility for our ancient past, and the realization that there is much, much more to our history than we've ever been led to believe. In my opinion, it is the great work of researchers like Zecharia Sitchin and others that will ultimately bridge the gap between evolution and creationism, and finally reveal to us the long-hidden truths about our celestial origins.

This book has been out of print for some time. I was very pleased with the condition of the book- And delivery was very fast.

This series of books explains many of Our Problems, and situations in today's modern world: Our origins, how civilization had been bad for us, slavery, why women have been oppressed, why religion had been so important, and why many people want religion and government together, why we long for a very long life, why we war with each other. It helped me to understand Us, and understand Why.
