I really like this sand.It helps with the charcoal incense I use by providing a little barrier between the lit charcoal and the copal resin incense that I use. Using the incense in the charcoal without the sand can be a little disastrous, because it just erupts into an enormous cloud of smoke. Adding this sand as a barrier between the charcoal and incense prolongs the burning time as well.It also looks quite nice, which is cool because I might start a tiny little zen garden.They really did me right.

Lovely sand and I appreciate all the color options. It's hard to know how much 1lb of sand is but I'm going to tell you all, it's not very much. It's really just barely over what I would call "two fingers" worth of sand. In a rolled up baggie (which is how it arrived), it's about 4.5"x1.5" with just under 1" of depth. This does make sense since sand is heavy. I just had a more substantial amount in mind so it registers as a bit disappointing. If you are buying this to fill a container, consider your size needs ahead of time.

I bought this package of sand for my daughter's zen garden. It was much bigger than expected, definitely more than I thought, a great value by. It functions as it should, vibrant color. It is sand, definitely not easy to clean but one wouldn't expect it to be.
