This is sold and shipped by Amazon....can someone read my review from 1/8/18 and respond with a reason for the nearly expired product I was sent?

Kelly, thanks for sharing your experience. We will be happy to help. Sometimes, the yeast supply in the market is greater than the demand. In this particular case, the batch of yeast you purchased came from the most current supply from the distributor. As a retailer, we can only offer what the distributor provides. Therefore, if all the distributor's stock is near the end of it's shelf life, then all the retailers have only that available to sell until the distributor gets a new shipment from the manufacturer. You are right, even though the yeast was still within it's best-before date, it was a couple of months away from that date. If you purchased the yeast from us, you can rest assured that our yeast is stored properly in a temperature controlled warehouse to maintain quality. Fortunately, the distributor's have all replenished their stock and a new batch is now available in the market.
