The unit has hardware tacks to secure the hook and loop strip to the head rail. They are too long and would split the wood on the Calyx brand shade used. I used regular thumbtacks. They provide 16 thin plastic loops to secure the liner to the shade. Unfortunately this is NOT enough. There need to be at least 4 loops to attach per horizontal mounting strip sewn into the liner at even intervals all the way down. When just anchoring on either side per the instructions, the liner hangs down in uneven folds as the Roman style blind is raised. This completely ruins the look of the blind. It also causes the shade to become thick and bunched up and protrude beyond the window frame. Muslin is the fabric used. A thinner fabric would work better. A choice of liner colors would also help as not all blinds benefit from the ecru color.

Easy to install and it provides nighttime privacy.
