Exactly how long is the seam down the side of the cap, from top centre to edge, measured flat (no slack)? Mine is too long (deep) at 7" (178 cm).

Measured it on hats I bought yes both 7” Also measured against other golf hats I already had both also 7” So it seems the hats you purchased are the “normal” size!
