This smooth and shiney scoop is a perfect weight for scooping out flour, sugar, animal feed...whatever it is you need to scoop. I think the construction is solid enough that the handle will will not bend. I do not think it would hold up to hard digging into frozen feed but right tool for the right job as they say, it is a scoop not a pick.I have several, some in the kitchen some with animal feed. They make life easier.
