As described
Fit my work van perfectly. At the price of gas it was a no brainer to install it.

Worst product ever purchased on Amazon
So I bought this gas cap for my 2016 Toyota Tacoma due to the rising price of gas and there is no locking door or cap on my Tacoma model. From the time I received it I had only unlocked/used it (3) times so it was practically brand new,On my way to a doctors appointment about (15) miles away I stopped to put gas cause my needle was on empty and the last thing I want to do is get on the Freeway with the reserve gas in the tank especially here in Los Angeles where I live!?I got out and attempted to remove the cap with the key and it would not come off…it would just keep clicking and spinning.I tried for about (10) min to remove it but was unable to…so since I had been waiting for this Dr’s appointment for nearly (6) months…I had to chance it!Fortunately I made it to my appointment but as it came time to leave I was still faced with the problem of how I’m going to make it home, now I have even less gas and more of a problem than earlier. So I looked up the closest gas station and lucky for me there is a hardware store next door…so I drove to the gas station and went next door to buy a flathead screw driver, went back to my truck and proceeded to destroy/remove the gas cap!Took me a couple of minutes to remove but I was successful. That being said I am extremely mechanically inclined…I used to build motors and restored classic cars for many years when I was younger so if the average person attempts to remove this cap they may not have the same luck as I did.I never thought that I would say these words but…I couldn’t have been happier to putt $6:50 a gallon gas in my truck!?So in conclusion…this cap is junk!If you have already purchased this cap…Cary a flathead screwdriver in your vehicle Incase of an emergency!?I posted pictures of the cap after I removed it!I have purchased “A LOT “ of things on Amazon and this is the first negative review I have done.Buyer beware!

Perfect Fit
I have bought gas caps at the local auto parts store and they all leaked just enough air that the engine light would come on. Checking my code reader always pointed to the gas cap. Thought I would try this one and was very surprised that it fit perfectly. I needed to get a lock on my gas tank because of the wise choices our government had made.

DO NOT BUY! IT STOPS WORKING!
Do yourself a favor and don’t buy this. It stopped working after less than 10 times of unlocking/locking it. Thankfully I had enough gas to drive 150 miles home. I had to break the thing off. I will never put this or another locking gas cap on my car again. Waste of money and it broke off really easily, so what’s the point?

PIECE OF JUNK FELL APART
So I bought this Locking Gas Cap in January because my newer Toyota 4Runner didn't come with a locking cap. I received it, put it on the shelf, and forgot about it (hey, I've been busy).I installed it a month ago. Since I don't drive the car much I've only filled up a couple of times. When at a self-service gas station I filled up but (frozen butter fingers) I dropped the cap.It shattered like it was made of glass! I didn't throw it, I simply dropped it the distance of the filler door to the ground and it shattered (see picture). Luckily I still had the old one in a box in the back of the car or I would've had to stuff a rag or something into the fuel filler to drive home. This kind of JUNK is unacceptable. I don't expect that the foreign company that made/sold it will refund me but a word to the wise: Be very careful and don't buy this or another substandard item when it comes to safety or performance unless it's from a dealership or a domestic producer. It's too bad that we have to give even ONE star to these purveyors of junk!

GReat concept but becomes harder to unlock as time goes on
Got this when gas prices were pretty high and people were stealing gas. It became increasingly difficult to open with key as it kept wanting to free spin when trying to unlock. I became paranoid about it getting stuck on tank and ended up replacing with regular gas cap. Got a good 6 months of use out it before returning to normal gas cap.

Stopped working in just under a year.
Used this for 11 months, I went to remove the cap and it kept clicking. Tried wiggling the key also spinning it the other way round. In the end i Had to pop the black part off and then use pliers to spin the white plastic part off.

Worth the peace of mind
Whether you live in a high-crime area or not, this gives the user a small measure of security in keeping people from messing with your vehicle.Easy to install and easy to lock,it gives you a little peace of mind knowing someone isn't going to siphon your fuel or contaminate it.
