I had been searching for a longer yoga mat because the one I've been using is too short for me. The problem is, the long yoga mats at the stores are ridiculously expensive. I was wary of buying this one because I was worried about the quality. But I'm so glad I went ahead and bought it. It is such a GREAT mat. The length is perfect (I'm 5'9 and there's space for a taller person). The thickness is perfect, thick enough to provide comfort and padding against a hard surface but thin enough to roll up sleek and transport with ease. The non slip underneath is such a thoughtful feature by the designers, I really appreciate it. The lines on the mat provide guidance for movement and add to the sleek design. The colors are great and I appreciate that it came with a separate Velcro strap and string for easy transport. Totally loving this.

Great non slip mat. Works well when used for yoga and strength/conditioning training. Tried across different surfaces with no movement. Very protecive and comfortable on the knees. A bit heavy and awkward but still easy enough to carry around and probably to be expected with the thickness of the mat. Aesthetically very nice and tidy looking though I don't think the guide lines on it are entirely even. I wear no shoes when using it as I found it damages the surface when wearing my nanos/lifting shoes for strength/conditioning training. Overall very pleased with the quality, great value for money. Would buy again.

I decided to get this mat because I disliked the chemical smell of my inexpensive yoga mat. I aired this mat out when I got it and used it for the first time tonight. I can detect an odor to it as well but it's not as noxious as the other one and I feel better knowing that it's not made with harnful chemicals. My hands did slip a little in downward dog but not my feet; no slipping in any other position. I would say the amount of slippage is comparable to the cheaper mat, if not a little better. I love the longer length; I find that I don't have to keep readjusting myself to stay in the middle. I also like the markers on the mat which I didn't think I would care about. It comes with 2 straps- one is a Velcro loop to keep it closed and the other is a carrying strap. Both are easy to put on and take off and make it convenient to tote. I got the blue mat send think it's a very pleasing and calm color. The extra centimeter of thickness is noticeable and comfortable. Finally I like that the bottom is a different color so I always have the correct side down and my face is not inadvertently touching the unclean side.

I recently left a yoga mat I really loved behind in the hall at the gym :( They emptied out the lost and found the next day. :( :(I couldn't find another of that brand, which had what I thought was a great, cloth-like cover attached to neoprene. :( :( :( And it was a great shade of pink. But...:) :) :) :) :) !!!! THIS MAT IS WAY BETTER! It has a very nice surface that provides totally reliable traction and has a subtle center line and other guide marks pressed into it at either end, that are helpful if you tend to work your way toward one end of the mat or the other, like I do. Also, at 6 mils in thickness, it is enough padding for my old, achy-breaky knees (without a towel) even in Urdhva Ashva Sanchalasana, but is not bulky or destabilizing in balance poses. I bet you'll love it too!UPDATE: The mat has deformed. Maybe because it was in my hatchback, touching something else. The edges have stretched out, but not the middle. Reminds me of the edge of a snail. :(
