Perfect for lunch
Great product. Not plastic!! Dishwasher safe!! Long lasting quality.

Great container for sandwiches or snacks, holds up after over a decade of use.
This is the second lunch bots container I have owned. The first one I got as a gift from my parents when I was in college(over a decade ago), I still use it on a regular basis. I needed a second one the same size because my husband is working and needs to take lunch/snacks with him to work. This container is perfect for a sandwich or wrap, or to store small snack items. It fits perfectly in the bottom of my lunchbox to hold emergency snacks and I still can add more food on top. I love all the choices available from lunch bots and the quality of the products.

Too small for lunch box but good for as a snack box
Size is very small, cannot fit a sandwich or salad only for snacks. Its durable and good looking though.

Great for "adult" lunches
In search of non-plastic reusable lunch options, I first tried Snack Taxi bags with velcro closures. Snack Taxis only hold so much, and my carrot sticks would be dried out by lunch time, not to mention the fact that if my sandwich wasn't guarded like Fort Knox (we're talking not even keeping it inside the lunch bag) it would be totally smooshed and flat and the bag lent it a funny taste. I decided to try these LunchBots. At first all they had were the ones with the colored lids, and although those are totally cute, they scream KID! to me. I wanted something inconspicuous. When I saw these I just had to get them. I take a lot of food to work every day; breakfast and lunch for a girl with a healthy appetite. I needed some good-sized containers that were lightweight and easy to wash. I am trying to avoid plastic as much as possible, and these paired with the airtight Pyrex 6021224 Storage 10-Piece Set, Clear with Blue Lids (BPA-free) seem to be a great option. Pyrex is heavy and you don't want a lunch bag full of it unless you're a pack mule, so using those for things like yogurt and applesauce and using these for the sandwich and crackers is a perfect combo. These are unbreakable, another plus.I purchased the Picnic Plus Savoy Insulated Lunch Tote, Green Paisley and the LunchBots Uno and Duo in the plain stainless steel. I was curious how much room would be left in the bag after putting in the two LunchBots. They fit together in the bottom of the picnic plus stacked on top of each other, with room on the side for a cup of yogurt and something else small. They also fit in the top part of the bag stacked on top of each other. So really, you could put four of these in the bag and still have room for a can of soda on the bottom. See pictures above.A sandwich made with a standard-sized loaf of bread fits in the Uno just fine, as does a croissant or a large bagel. There is room in Uno for a small salad or leftover lasagna, a generous portion. The Duo is the Uno cut in half, and is roomy enough for things like deviled eggs on one side and pickles on another. Or you could put crackers on one side and nuts or trail mix on the other. The point is that Duo holds two adult-sized side dishes or snacks just fine. You aren't going to go hungry, even if you eat a lot like I do. Or, for smaller appetites, you could potentially pack half a sandwich in one side of Duo and some pretzels or chips in the other. The possibilities are endless! One thing to keep in mind when packing two things in Duo, the flavors leaching and the moisture factor. If you pack crackers in one side and something moist, such as apple slices in the other, you may find yourself with soggy crackers come lunch time. Or, if you pack deviled eggs with pretzels you might have egg-flavored pretzels. Just a thought. The only thing I have found to be mildly annoying is that the lids for my Uno and Duo don't seem to be interchangeable, even though they look the same. This is where the colored lids might actually come in handy. I think the dimensions of these plain containers are slightly different than those of the Lunchbots with the colored lids. Maybe a sandwich wouldn't fit as well in the others? I think these are more square where the others are more rounded.Overall, these are great products that hold enough food for an adult to eat a decent-sized lunch. I don't think many people would need the space provided by the Eco, which is the larger size with the green lid, unless you want to pack a large salad or something. So if you are looking for something that's easy to clean, eco-friendly, non-plastic, lightweight, and good-sized, these containers will do the trick. Too bad they're so pricey or I'd buy some more!

Perfect size for sandwiches and fits in a lunchbox
Slightly larger than a standard slice of bread, so it’s easy to place and remove a sandwich, and deep enough to accommodate any reasonable thickness of sandwich on sliced bread.Has proven very sturdy and cleans well in the dishwasher even with Nutella and peanut butter.A huge improvement over my kiddo’s old plastic sandwich box. I imagine it would be great for any meal prep, frankly, so long as you don’t plan to microwave in the container

Nice size, can fit bagel with a little smoked salmon
We wanted to get away from plastic touching food. We get fairly large plump bagels, and so having a large enough tin is an issue. So far the bagels with a little spread and some smoked salmon have fit in every dimension. The height of the tin is the most limiting dimension - so if you like piled high sandwiches on thick bread this tin might not work. I experimented: If your sandwich is piled a bit too high it won’t stay closed, but a rubberband solves that. For our needs the height of the tin is enough to fit a bagel with spread and smoked salmon. Other pros: I make the sandwiches the night before and store the sandwich overnight in the tin in the fridge - and wow this tin gets super cold, so that the tin acts like it’s own ice pack in the lunch carrier! The lid fits ‘comfortably’ - snug enough to not fall off but still easy to remove by hand. I think the tins get cleaner than plastic containers, etc. Tins better for health than plastics AND better for the environment than plastics. Tins less fragile than glass and more reusable than waxed paper bakery bags (and maybe healthier too - see Consumer Reports article on plastics and food). Recommendations: We clean with soap and water by hand each night and thoroughly dry first by hand and then air overnight after each use. Because we have one tin drying overnight and one tin in the fridge overnight with its sandwich in it (and there is the ice-pack effect of letting these chill overnight), we recommend you buy two tins like we did. Both our tins are without dividers. We bought some other smaller tins for other things (yogurt, dried fruit, grapes), and use the small waxed paper bakery bags for cookies. We bought stainless steel spoons for the yogurts. We are still experimenting with different carriers - the current one is waxed canvas bag with aluminum lining (fabrics great, style of bag not ideal so we’ll keep looking for a better no plastics carrier bag). All these things available on Amazon. Bottom line: we recommend this tin! Great way to avoid not only plastic baggies and plastic wraps, but also glass containers that have plastic lids, and these tins more durable than glass. Be prepared to wash the tins and thoroughly dry after each use, and these should last a long time!10-22-2024 update: With near daily use, these still look like new! We hand wash after every use, towel dry then air dry over night. No rust, no staining, look great. Lid still fits just right. No dents or dings. Very pleased with this purchase after around ten months of near daily use. Hope this review is helpful to you :)
