Q: how do I connect an extension for a longer wire without sodering ? The current stock wire is too short for my needs.

If you’re not going to put the wire under stress you just twist the wires together and tape them so they can’t short out. If the wires are to be stretched out under stress you will have to solder them. Good luck!
