I love these baffles! Squirrels were getting to my bird feeders for many years, eating wild bird food and knocking down the feeders, destroying them. Once I started using these baffles, the squirrel problem was solved. They simply cannot reach the feeder from above with the baffle in place. I have a log home, so squirrels can climb the house easily. Using an 18” extendable hanging rod keeps squirrels from getting to the feeder from the side (see first photo). Raccoons also pose a problem, destroying feeders by getting on my porch railing and reaching them. Last year I purchased BORHOOD Bird Spikes, also available on Amazon, and attached them to the railing very securely using zip ties (see the second photo). It worked! No more raccoons and no more squirrels making off with bird food and wrecking the bird feeders!

These baffles are the best, they do the job, and last forever. We have some that are well over 20 years old and are still in great condition. Do NOT hesitate to buy the North States Two-Way Squirrel Baffle. You will not be sorry.

*Anyone looking for a squirrel baffle to put on a shepard hook pole? Most shepard hooks have a side bar at the base that you step on to push it into the ground. That's how mine are. Look for the kind of baffle that has a clamp that attaches to the pole and a separate circular/cone shape with a slit in it to place the baffle over the clamp. Search on here for Woodlink Wrap Around Squirrel Baffle. I've had one up for 14 years and not ONE squirrel has gotten around it!!! The trick is to wrap electrical tape around the pole just below the clamp so it can't slide down.I bought this to use as a cover over a tray feeder filled with suet pellets. Usually, if these pellets get rained on, they disintegrate. They're not exactly cheap. I thought this would be ideal to try to keep them dry.Its much larger than I thought it would be. In fact, the size is perfect for the tray. Whatever material its made out of, its really solid and feels durable. Not terribly heavy. It was easy to assemble (instructions included) and I had it together and out there in about 5 minutes.The birds didn't seem bothered by this cover. The cardinals and jays took a little longer to figure out how to land under it, but they had it mastered quick. The birds hang out on the tray a bit more and maybe it's because they feel sheltered and safe under there. Cover also blends in with the natural surroundings.The true test will be to see how well this works for Hurricane Sally. I dont expect the pellets to stay 100% dry as we're supposed to get on and off rain for 24-36hrs.Update: Pellets stayed about 90% dry during the storm and feeder was empty the next day. Birds stayed dry too!!!

Nice unit that does deter squirrels pretty well as only 1 in 5 or so gets by... so far. Would need a much more slippery surface and "edge" to work 100%. Does keep the rain off and is well made! Gets caught (stays crooked) on "the ball" when used as a hanging unit.

This baffle works great to keep snow out of my bird feeders. It’s the first one I’ve found that actually works and it’s made in America to boot! Hallelujah Had 6 inches of heavy wet snow last night and the baffle was covered but not a flake in the feeder trays.

I thought this would be a great baffle as it was working good for a week, but one day I came out to find it and my feeder on the ground. Turns out a squirrel chewed around the top to make the hook portion come out. The feeder was all the way across the yard but unopened (it was a suet feeder). So, at least I know the pesky critter didn't get a nice treat for all his hard work! I found a way to use the pole attachment to secure the hook and am trying it again. Fingers crossed they don't find a way to eat through that thick piece, too! Better off making these things out of metal I think.

Keeps the rats and squirrels away from the bird feeder. Easy and cheap.

I got these for weather protection over two feeders. They are heavy, not thin plastic. As long as the wind is not blowing the snow or rain sideways, it keeps them dry. Even if the snow is blowing all around, there is less on my basket feeder than there used to be.My only critique is I wish the surface did not collect snow. I tried waxing them but it made no difference.I can’t attest to how well they work against squirrels because my feeders are pretty squirrel proof without them.All in all I really like these and highly recommend.

Looked for a squirrel deterent for my bird feeder. Found this product on Amazon , found the ratings to be quite high.It was very easy to install and worked like a charm . The first day I had it up my grey squirrel visitor who had previously raided the feeder, appeared , checked out the situation and then decided it was too hard. He/she just looked at the dome on the pole and left. Have not see any sign of raids since.

Very sturdy and big and good depth to it too. Has NOT fallen down and is heavy. WORTH the money! I should have bought 2 instead of other plastic ones i tried. This one is worth the $31.00 that i paid verse the $21.00 ones i got. Love it!

Love it, these baffles are brilliant. Easy to install, works great, and MADE IN THE USA. Liked the first one so much I bought another. Good for keeping the snow off of feeders as well, so the birds have access to dry seed.

Excellent quality......my only concern is that the birds have not returned yet....perhaps because it is a solid black colour and the birds cannot see the feeder through it?
