Updated, 11/2015, to five stars in recognition of the fact that the seller offered to exchange these towels -- at no charge -- because my review indicated I was dissatisfied.While we still think the color is not "chocolate" but "reddish-brown", the towels themselves are terrific, and we're very happy with them. And we've gotten used to the color, even if it wasn't what we'd expected.Original review: The chocolate brown is really reddish, so it didn't meet our color expectations, but the towels themselves are all that is promised: thick, absorbent, and heavy.

They are thick, soft, and very absorbent. So far they have held up well to about 8 washings. The wash cloths are so thick that they are actually difficult wring out. I do not see myself going back to standard (cheap) towels ever again.

Great set of towels. I was expecting the large towels to be a bit bigger, as that's what I was looking for, however, that's my fault and not the towel or seller's. The towels are of great quality. If you're used to expensive super soft towels, these are not AS soft, however, they dry a LOT better than the super soft towels. I think that makes these towels better.Also, I washed them before our first use and though there was a lot of lint in the dryer, not much stuck to me after I used them which is great. No loss of color from what I can see either.Overall a recommended purchase!!

They are EXTREMELY thick. Washing yourself with the wash cloth is actually somewhat difficult to get used to because it is so thick and stiff. Also, they get pulls VERY easily. In the winter, the main big towel is actually so thick and bulky that it gets cold, and when you go to dry yourself after a shower it feels a bit chilly, almost feels wet (although it's not). They're not the softest towels either.

Love these towels. They are super thick, very soft, and absorbent. Yes, they were slightly more money, but worth every extra penny.

Best towels ever. I'm not sure I could ever use another towel at home again. They are heavy, soft, and dry so well. Yes they are expensive but when receiving and using for over 2 years now...well worth the money! GET THESE TOWELS if you want to feel like a king or queen :)

The towels are thick, gorgeous, wash beautifully and I'm so happy I bought them. The first few times you wash them though, be sure to clean out your dryer after using. The pile does shed considerably, which the manufacturer said would happen. You don't notice it at all in the towels. Still just as plush as ever.

Ralph Lauren got nothing on these plus a third of the price, trust me, I went through 3 other brands before we settled with these
