A biased liberal slant on The Family.
The author writes to promote and promulgate a liberal view of what he believes is correct regarding The Family. He also takes many opportunities to bash conservative ideas. A very biased view on the subject matter.

If it was an option, I would give it zero stars
I had to take a Sociology of Family class for my degree. This book was the required reading. First of all, the pronouns used is I, me, my...Not the normal objective you for a college textbook. It was so heavily biased that if you claim to be a conservative Christian then you are supportive of an archaic patriarchy that oppresses women, brainwashes children and is anti birth control and anyone that has a different lifestyle from you. As I read each chapter I was either appalled, depressed or both. This absolutely should not be considered a college textbook. There are ways to discuss topics and still be respectful of opposing viewpoints and this book wasn't it.

This isis a very interesting book and gives great insight on family perspectives!
What I like about this book?! Even though this book is an elective for my degree plan. It is interesting because it gives me an insight on how family diverse inequality and how it has changed throughout the decades!
