I see a lot of people saying "it's not as big as it seems," but no one says how big it is... so how big is this thing?

It has been awhile since we had it out. I think it was around 4 feet by 8 feet, can't say for sure. A 6 year old and 4 year old were playing on it and it seemed big enough for them. Sorry I can't tell you the specific size.
