Perfect Bear
This bear was so perfect! I followed the suggestion to remove the stuffing, tear the stuffing apart, and then put the stuffing back in…and it worked perfectly! The bear is so fluffy and full, and it has the sweetest face!

Not just a bear, an experience.
The way that the manufacturer describes the shipping is true; they come vacuum-sealed and squashed pretty much flat. However, it's also true that there's a zipper on the back of the bear that allows you to de-stuff the bear, unclump the fluff, and re-stuff to your liking. This is where the fun happens.I swear to God it was like the fluff kept coming. I'd only managed to deflate the poor thing's head before my roommates had all gathered around to watch in awe and muted horror as the polyfill piled higher. There's something both hilarious and heinous about gutting a teddy with your bare hands and at one point one of the gentler onlookers said "This feels a little mean, right?"Once all the fluff was extracted and we'd all had a chance to flop the empty bear skin around, I started picking up poyfill clumps to thin them out and began re-stuffing from the legs. Despite the absolute fluff mountain that I'd created in the living room, I was worried about not having enough, so I was thorough with the unclumping and conservative with how much fluff I was adding to his legs. This was a mistake. As the bear slowly became more bear-shaped over the course of the next hour or so, I realized just how much fluff there really was and started pushing more into his arms, legs, and head in an attempt to make room in his torso. Even then, at one point I remember thinking "Sweet Jesus, I can't possibly fit all of this back into this poor bear."Two hours later, with my roommates having long vanished only to occasionally walk by and go "Damn, still not done?", I finally jammed the last handful of fluff back into this (probably vengeful) creature and zipped him closed. At that point, I was low-key worried that I'd triggered something cursed and that I'd wake up to find him restuffing me with my own guts- this teddy is tall enough to reach the knife drawer, after all- so I left him in the living room for the night, where he proceeded to jumpscare one of my roommates who had been in his room the entire time and was blissfully unaware of the giant teddy in our house. Apparently the sight of a big human-like shape sitting in a very human-like way in a chair in the dark is a little much for high-strung people.I love this dude to bits. He's soft as Hell and squeezable and something about the whole process left an impact and only made him even more endearing. Well-worth the money and then some. And he sits so nicely, too!
