Can this be hardwired?

no. that could be potentially dangerous and would not meet code. the only way that could be accomplished is if you could rewire the plug inside the housing with Romex and even then It would be suspect.

Drill a 4.7 inch hole on the table, put the pop up outlet into the hole and tighten up the bottom circle ring. Power up and start using.
