Blue DemonTrueview 6700 Welding Helmet (BDWH-TRUEVIEW-6700M)

After about 6 months I can say the helmet has a overall good experience. The auto lens has a very clear view and is a good size for not too big, not too small. All of the knobs and grind button do their jobs perfectly as well and are of decent quality. The only complaints I have is the shell and headgear. The shell feels cheap and is flexible, so I’d recommend trying not to drop it too much. I think the headgear is comfortable, but bulky and can be a pain to adjust. I’d recommend this hood/brand to all shop welders.

The helmet body itself is the flimsiest, floppiest, cheapest thing you could imagine. But for the money it is a great helmet. Love the grinder mode. Be nice if the flashing LED showing you it is in grinder mode was a little brighter but no biggie. It would nice if the default mode when it turned on was welding mode and maybe that is a setting that I can change and haven't found yet - but for the money - it is an awesome value.

Helmet has decent optics, but the viewing window is kind of high, and the straps are really uncomfortable*update* DID NOT know it was as adjustable as it was, unfortunately it did take a crappie after 7 months but did a job till then. Comparable quality to the speedglas 9002nc but again, durability was comprised

The media could not be loaded.  The helmet itself is great. It's lightweight and does have a pretty clear view. BUT, the hinge was assembled wrong from the factory and for days I couldn't figure out what to adjust to set the hinge stop. Well, it didn't work or adjust because it was put together wrong. And Blue Demon has no support number or email. I had to try asking questions on the product page and still didn't get the right answer. So minus 2 stars for selling an incorrectly assembled product and providing no support options to find this out. But once you get it right it seems nice. I haven't tested it while welding yet but if I have any issues then I'll post back. Couldn't add a second video so added pictures to try to show the correct assembly sequence.

Definitely made in the CCP. Very light and very cheaply made. I bought mine for a backup and it was an open box, definitely not paying 100+ for this hood. I paid $60 and I was hesitant on keeping it once I had it in my hands due to quality. I’ve used the hood several times now, one day the lense kept flashing on its own and didn’t activate for the weld. So I put it down and picked back up my FibreMetal Pipeliner hood and continued welding.Pro: idk yetCons: I don’t trust the auto lense. My eyes are too important.
