This is just what I needed. It feels very robust. Installation was quick and easy. I used some of the supplied teflon tape and tightened all connections hand tight then a quarter turn more with a pair of pliers. No leaks and it works as I expected.

I can't tell you how many seasons I've spent using garbage plastic/cheap metal hybrids. That's about all that can be found at the box stores.Having had enough, I ordered these, and now I have some good, solid, METAL y-splitters!I'm tired of plastic garbage. These will last a long time and are worth the price for avoiding headaches, and the cost of replacing cheap versions on a continual basis.

This product has several shortcomings. 1.) Beware of tiny brass slivers, wear gloves while installing. 2.) While the valve handle is brass rather than cheap plastic, the screws holding the handle in place can't be tightened so that the screw won't turn with the handle. If the handle is operated frequently, the screw will need to be re-tightened. 3.) You will really need to crank the splitter connection down tight to your water outlet as otherwise it will leak. If this is a new and improved design, I would suggest that the designers try again.

Best thing I bought in a long time! No more dragging the hose from the front yard to the back and vice versa. You can use the valves to shut off the water supply for either one. Very sturdy, made of brass, and does not leak. Just screws on to the outdoor tap. You just have to buy another hose but it can be shorter. Why didn’t I do this years ago? Carole R.
