If you are looking to replace your battery on your Asus U56E then this is as good as it gets. The battery is not special, the main reason you should consider looking to get this product is the warranty as the company offers a very reasonable replacement policy. You are practically paying for the replacement if you are worried about something going wrong since the battery comes off as nothing more than the original.The overall use of the product says that you can get a good 8 hours, I have yet to see that use when I play some music on my laptop or watch a couple of videos over the span of the day. My original laptop battery was dead and I work from home on my laptop, so I was really concerned about the quality of this battery. The price was better than I found anywhere else and though it's not an Asus battery, it fit my Asus U56E perfectly and I can now work for about 4 1/2 hours or more without plugging in. I followed the instructions to a point; I fully charged and discharged battery three times when I first got it and from then on I only plugged in when my laptop told me it was about to hibernate at about 5%. Very pleased.

I bought this battery on December 2013 to replace my ASUS U46E original battery which had stopped charging after 2 years. After only 7 months, its charge started lasting less and less and for a week now, I has stopped charging altogether after only 8 months. I plug it in and I don't get the red cross symbol saying it's not charging. It simply appears as a completely drained battery with 0% charge, but says it's not charging. I tried disconnecting it and checking the battery but nothing seems to fix it. I intend on replacing it, since it says it has a 1 year warranty. I also noticed that the charger cord seemed to get quite hot every now and then, which didn't happen before with the original battery. As a point of comparison, my previous laptop before this was a Toshiba Satellite E205 which is now 4 years old and I gave to my mother after buying this new one and it still works well, the battery still holds charge well and I haven't changed the battery once.

Crappy longevity. Good fit, works, but as is the case with many of these cheap aftermarket batteries, it's a coin toss on whether it has even half the longevity and life expectency of originals. you get what you pay for with this one. Within several battery only uses and charges, it immediately started draining way too fast giving maybe 2.5 hours instead of an expected 3 or 4.

I've been using this battery for a few weeks now, and it's been great. The battery life has been awesome, but the fit and finish of the battery is less than stellar. I can live with it for the price, but I would be happier if the plastic case wasn't bulging at the seams where it appears to have been really poorly assembled.

I had to get another battery from a different company. That one worked fine.

I ordered this battery about 2.5 years ago and it has worked absolutely fine up until now. My computer is telling me that there is a problem with the battery. That being said, 2 years for $50 isn't bad. The price has come down since I purchased the battery so I will probably buy another. I don't have any complaints.

Worked perfectly. Totally extending the life of my rapidly falling apart ASUS laptop. It will definitely keep this thing going until I'm finally able to afford to replace the laptop completely.
