Only reason I bought this was because of the 10 year warranty and its claims of not getting mildew or mold growth, neither of which are true. I have been using this bath mat for a month now and it has been one of the worst for mold growth. So I followed the directions and put it in the washer on cold not only did the mold not come off it left a slime like residue all over my washing machine and the same gross residue on the mat itself making it slippery in the shower. I did an old fashion scrubbing on this mat with a scrub brush to get the mildew/mold off that way and had no success. Thoroughly disappointed with this purchase and the worst part is I can not get ahold of the seller regarding this issue. So much for that warranty they claim to give you, I guess the catch is IF you can get ahold of them. Hence the reason for this post maybe they will see it that way.

Firstly, I am not a dirty person, and I would risen down the mat after every shower. I also put the mat in the washer for a deep clean, once a week, oppose to every day as mentioned on the instructions. Every day was not feasible. BUT look how gross this looks, maybe it is the clear color I choose?!? Excellent suction, and safe but terribly looking.

How can they claim this mat as “non-toxic” when the chemical smell fills the entire house? It smells so strongly of bleach that I was choking. I washed it out thinking that would help. I then tried to bathe my son in it trusting the description that this is a safe plastic mat. Bad idea! My baby smelled like bleach for 2 days. It made me so nervous because who knows the toxic chemicals that are causing it to smell so bad. I have never written a review on Amazon until now because I feel so passionate about it. Do not buy this. Toxic. Awful.

I am not sure about this mat. I purchased this for my grandson's baths. (Baby is 22 months old.) The mat stays in place. However, the baby broke out in a severe rash each time he came to visit. The rash is on the back of his legs and his butt - the areas of his body that touch the mat during bath time. It is possible that there is something in the Gorilla mat that is causing the rash (contact dermatitis).

I am so happy with this purchase. It is exactly what I was looking for. My shower/tub unit is a death trap. I think the unit was made with some extra slick polymer. I started out using those peel and stick grippers. Those loosen over time and they leave a lot of exposed space. And they are a pain in the butt to apply and especially to remove. I also tried one of those solid rubber mats. It was okay but I did not like the look.I just happened upon the Gorilla Grip mat on Amazon. I liked that it was clear, making it unobtrusive in the shower. I also like that it has holes in it for water to drain through. I think this keeps the mat cleaner and fresher between cleaning days. But most importantly, this baby can grip! The suction cups are super powerful. And there are 324 of them! This mat will not slip and slide in the tub. However, it will pull up easily when it is time to clean. You do need to press on each suction cup for the best results. I find that pressing on a few of them with my hands to anchor the mat and then walking on the rest is an efficient way to set the mat in place. Another nice feature is that liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioners do not make the surface of the mat slick. I highly recommend this product for all ages and levels of gracefulness.

I have had mine now over 2 years and it has turned yellow despite regular bleachings with household bleach. It also has developed cracks at a few of the holes such that I came here today really to just buy a new one but thought people might like to know what they are buying. .Whatever is claimed here about anti-bacterial - it isn't in my opinion, it grows mold and slime just like any other bathmat - so you need to turn it over regularly and wash it with household bleach. Then rinse and let dry before you turn it over again and stand on it. I tried putting it in a washer but it didn't really fit well and so parts didn't get too clean, etc. Washing by hand was the best method.

It seems that the old-style rubber mats are unavailable; at least, I can't find them. As a result, the GORILLA GRIP (R) is my third bath tub mat after buying brands that either don't stick or are as slick to walk on as the tub surface (and then some). This one, however, is a definite keeper. I bought the clear one, and the top surface is textured in a way that I could dance in the shower if I wanted to (which I don't actually plan to do). And, in spite of the fact that my tub has textured stripes, the suction cups are so plentiful and secure that it adheres well immediately after laying it down on a wet tub and pressing slightly, and I feel perfectly safe. Looks like I'm done shopping for bath tub mats!I read another review that said something about the initial smell. Yes, when you open the package, there is a bit of a normal plasticky smell, but it goes away immediately.

This mat attaches to the tub with many strong suction cups. The surface has some texture so that it is not slippery.-The mat is large enough to cover almost the whole tub.-There are small holes throughout so the water passes through. This is good for two reasons 1) the water doesn't sit on top when showering and result in a slip n' slide 2) and the water drains out after use so mold does not form.-But my favorite feature of all is that you can throw this in the washing machine. I have been doing this for years with my shower curtains. This mat comes out looking like new. You need to wash it on cold water and just let it air dry.-Finally, it is a nice design. I chose the clear and it has a barely there look, which I think is ideal.I made a video so you can see how easy it is to attach and wash. I hope this was helpful.

We like that it is clear so it is easy to see brown scum build up. I also covers the length of the shower tray. Very happy with the product.

Haven't put in the washing machine yet but brought a scub brush to keep clean and not slimy :) other than its good for a shower over a bath.Adding - now it's gone in washing machine, it comes up as good as new :D

No other mat like it! It has 320 suction cups. I was hesitant about buying this mat. First of all, I have bought others and they always slipped. This doesn't. In fact, I did step out of the tub with my foot right on the very edge of the mat causing it to slip up, but it didn't go far and stopped my slip. I was also worried about comfort. I have very sensitive feet due to health issues. Other mats I have bought hurt my feet. I asked on line if this would be a problem. Another couple said they also have the same problem and it was comfortable. The dealer answered me and to my surprise warned me not to buy. However, I decided to give it a chance. I am so glad I bought this mat absolutely the best, washable and no comfort problems.

It works perfectly I like the longer length and also you can pop into the washer. It stays perfectly in place and takes away the fear of slipping. It just does what it says. Really impressed
