Very smooth, Clicker not loud but works. Will be great for cat fishing where a line feed system comes in handy.The extra spool makes it great for going from mono to braid in no time at all.looks and feels like it will last.

Anglers accustomed to regular/traditional spinning reels (with one drag only) might encounter a bit of a learning curve with these reels--they have one very light (but adjustable) drag to let the fish take the bait out more-or-less freely, and another drag (like the traditional one) that kicks in when the angler turns the handle and starts to fight the fish. This system works great for catfish--but I have not yet had the good luck to test the reel's strength against a really big fish, though it does fine on 5-6 pounders.

This reel wobbled so badly as soon as I started to put the braided line on it with a line spooler. Feels loose and cheap, I don't believe it will hold to reel in a whiting or pompano without the fear of breaking or losing the fish. I had to return it!

So I got 3 of this because i like the smoothness of the reel. So may my 3rd time using one of them the handle snapped clean off while reeling in a 4 pound Catfish. The next fishing season another handle broke clean off when reeling in a 3 pound Red Drum. Nice reels but poorly and cheaply made. All plastic. I'll never buy again.

This reel is a good bargain. Bait runner functions ok, and notice that it's significantly larger at the bottom than a regular reel. On package it says saltwater approved, although in Amazon's description it's not. Will test how durable it is in the next few months.
