AUTOKAY Starter Relay Solenoid Fits for Yamaha Outboards 68V-8194A-00-00

On my 2005 Yamaha F225 TXRD it worked but had to modify. Had to remove the “boot” and change the size of the bullet connector. Otherwise works fine. So far so good.

Bought this solenoid for my Yamaha 2005 F-150. The clip that originally held my original solenoid in did not fit the new one because it hit the electrical wire terminals, so I had to modify the retaining clip. and one of the supplied wires terminal disconnect was to small to fit my motors terminal so I had to cut the wire and terminal from my old solinoid and solder it to the new one.

This will not fit on a yamaha f150. It is much too large and has to be modified to work but will not fit in the space the old relay is mounted in.

Description says it fits a Yamaha F150XB...it does not. The original part has 2 wires that come out of the bottom of the relay. This part has 2 wires that come out of the front, with spade connectors. These connectors would prevent the mounting bracket from holding the relay in place where it's supposed to be screwed in securely. The brown wire is smaller than the factory part, and too small to fit snuggly into the bullet connector coming off of the engine. The part is not the same shape as the original, so it won't fit into the cut out portion it is supposed to fit into. It's the same part number, but it's NOT the same part.

Part does not fit as advertised. Purchased for a 2008 Yamaha F150. Part was too big and terminals were wrong. Sent it back

Fit and worked like it should.

I used this as a replacement for the starter relay on a 2004 225hp Yamaha Outboard. After a bend here and a cut there, the switch fitted. Works well so far. The new relay is on the left in the picture and does not have the taper from the original. I bent the bracket and machined around 10mm diagonally for it to fit.
